I've been playing solo mode for a few hours now and when I go to quit to SP to make sure it saves it say's the same ole sh*t. I go to log back in to make sure it saves...

"The rockstar cloud servers are unavailable right now. Please try again later."

 

f*cking bullsh*t! It should f*cking tell you if the cloud server goes down before quitting out so I can just keep the sh*t going until cloud servers are up again..

A simple one sentence notification stating that the cloud is down wouldn't take a f*cking team of programmers to make.

A message saying you lost connection to the servers is an amateur mistake, an indie dev could do it. Heck a hack programmer could. get real, Rockstar messed up in a big way with this.

Bold ones are wise words, finally some people who are clever enough to figure out that R* f*cked up big time on the release and all the other sh*t. But it's sad to see some fanboys still defending them

I was one of the guys telling everyone to calm down when the launch wasn't perfect, but even I'm at my wit's end at this point. I know it hasn't even been a week yet, but I'm so tired of losing my rank and money. My character has finally gotten to the point where it's not being deleted every day, but my rank went down from 9 to 3 and money from $45,000 to $12,000 between 7am and 5pm today. I hate the fact that I feel dread every time I fire up the game because I have no idea where my character will be. Of course, the bright side is at least I don't have to go through that tutorial a FIFTH time. lol

 

If this was GTA IV, I wouldn't care. But with this game, rankings give you access to weapons, missions, etc. So although I am trying to be patient, it's difficult to almost start over every single time I want to play.

 

It's even worse because one of my friends that I've been playing with almost exclusively has had NONE of these problems. He's now up to rank 25, which is where I should be. His character has not been deleted once. At least if everyone was having the same problems, I could take a little solace in the fact that it's across the board.

 

And I also don't have access to the CE content that I pay for. So at the very least, I should be able to complain about that. No garage, no car, no Niko in the heritage screen ... and Rockstar hasn't said a word about that.

 

Also, that good friend of mine works for a video game company and their current project is at the stage that Rockstar is having problems with -- files not keeping the correct data ... he used a technical term for it, but I can't remember -- and he said that they should never have launched without making sure that specific problem wouldn't happen, which is what his company is working on right now.
