Everyone's having the same issue? Characters/money deleted

So I'm seeing a lot of threads about characters, money and proprietes deleted. Everyone's having this problem? I mean, R* cloud is off right now? Or is just happening to a few users.

 

Is there any chance to recover our characters, statistics and money? Because this is a really sh*tty situation... lvl 17 and 100,000+ in the bank... too lazy to start again from the bottom.

The "Official" Character Deletion thread is getting on for 15 pages now, not counting every other "My character was Deleted" thread.

 

So yeah, it's a lot of people.

Well I do think this has been the first time it's been a genocide of characters.

It's typically been one person here and there at random times.

 

Many people just got murdered during the cloud crash a few hours ago.

I'm same Lvl mate and pretty much same amount of cash banked. All gone as of 2 hours ago.

 

Just forget it for a week I say till they get they sh*t sorted. I got no intentions of starting again now until I know we're guaranteed it safe to do so.

GTAO is superb aswell, was really enjoying it.

Played a little this afternoon. Just logged on and my level 22 , $300k plus character is gone. Needless to say I'm um...not happy.

Its definitely alot of people, I'd probably even say the majority has had some kind of issues although not neccessarily characters being deleted. Personally, I've had only a single occurence of a rollback where i lost a few levels and some money, fortunately for me I didn't lose everything or have my entire character deleted yet.

People say things like I lost 100k and 4 levels...when really you never had it, because the cloud server was f*cked and you kept playing without realising, it never sent your progress to the cloud, you left unaware, came back and it was gone.

 

Always look for the orange saving/loading circle, that means sh*t is being sent to the cloud. Always quit by clicking on "Leave GTA Online" because it says progress is saved. Always try loading your friend list in game, if it doesn't load your friends chracters and levels, chances are the cloud is down and you should NOT leave the game until it comes back up.

My character was also suddenly deleted tonight. However, the new guy I created to replace her suddenly got all the money she had in the bank. Has anyone else experienced this? The new guy also started the game with a couple of thousand dollars. There's a lot of randomness and strangeness going on.

Can have my characters vanish and all the other bugs over launch, but players earning currency outside of cash shop? Better fix that asap!

I've had no problems with it since launch, only lost a garage Thursday but that's it and I've always got on. Just got reset tonight.

 

Told people on here it's happened to me now aswell, but not once have I CRIED about it. Just sharing it with people in the same situation. Ya dig?

I bought a 205K apartment and it disappeared along with the money I spent to buy it also when i went to bed last night I had 130K and I was at level 27 and when I just got on I was back at level 25 (third time it has put me back to this level) and I only had 30K

Yeah. It was loading my online character in as normal from the camera map view. Was taking its time then screen went black, next thing it took me to the 4 slot character creation screen. It said my gamertag level 0

 

All I could do was exit online. Didn't wanna create a new un and wipe over my old one...but it's gone now anyway.

 

Yeah I'm not gonna play it now til I know it sorted. Good luck btw.

This is why I'm waiting a few weeks for the dust to settle...

 

No point in hating a company for a faulty product at launch. Much worse things to hate, like terrorism, rapists, pedophiles, serial killers, hitler and he final solution.

 

I think you all just need to get put of the house or play more single player.

 

First time I've heard a game company mass delete characters though. If this was an MMORPG that people paid a sub for, the company would lose that IP within a week. Still not worth hating for for though.
