thought this is prob needed . pretty much just post if cloud is up or down for you so the masses know when to save

Appears to be working now but i have no character, takes me to choose a slot with nothing there except money..great.

This thread wont work as im sure cloud can appear down for some but not others, been done for mates but fine for me vice versa numerous times

UK - PS3 Back up for me and running smoothly no loss of anything, they have responded to this though make sure you stay peeled to this link, and also u will find out about the character disappearances. http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200435267-Loss-of-characters-rank-items-apartments-and-or-in-game-money-in-GTA-Online

 

Only listen and read official news, not the stuff that sometimes goes on these forums.

Sometimes I get the cloud server down error, other times it brings me to the choose character option... which shows no characters..

 

What the f*ck.

 

This game's multiplayer launch is worse than Diablo III's

While I'm more than willing to be patient, rockstar is looking more and more like they're not as superior as they're known to be when it comes to the gaming world.

It's kinda reassuring that soo many people are having the same problem of the online appearing to work but no characters though still having their money.

 

Holding out fools hope that it will be resolved with characters intact.

Same here, never received any notice that cloud is down or up. The only hint of this are the missing characters. Love this game when it briefly worked... Otherwise it is an unstable, inconsistent lemon. Aside from the stellar single player game, everyone just paid at least $60 to be part of the beta. R* thanks u.

Are you in game?

 

If you're in game and the cloud goes down, I think you know by going to the "friends" tab, if it doesn't load the cloud is down. This happened to me. I waited in the game until the cloud came back before exiting.

I wish they would hurry up and fix this bs already. We're all dying to be able to play without the fear of losing everything we had worked for. Once that happens, it's all fine.

You can tell if when you're starting a session and you're in a crew, the crew options are not available to choose... indicating cloud doesn't recognise you're in a crew.

Nope, mines been up all day more or less. I'm always able to get on. There was only one time that I wasn't able to get on since the launch but that only lasted for about 10 minutes. I've been pretty lucky with being able to get on since launch.

Just lost my character...will it come back?

 

I just lost my character too and I don't think it will come back since the cloud servers seem to be online.

No just wait. Go on the social club site and check if your character is there. If it's there then don't create new. If it's no,, then go ahead and create one
