My cash is there, name is right, but my Lvl 10 is now a 1 with no RP. I'm happy to see my cash though! To note, mine also is the headphoned, bald character described above. It must be some sort of default character.

 

I also noticed when I did a mission that its a guys body, female face, bald. Creepy looking...

just curious... all you guys who had such high level and money... you repeat that mission over and over again right?

 

nope. did it once this afternoon with some friends after the patch. the only thing i did which i didn't even know about was the buying of a property in person and getting it free. and i ended up trading it in anyway so i only really got $65k free from them, which is peanuts considering i lost my level 14 character on wednesday. so now i've lost 2.

Lost my LVL17 Dude again

 

It did give me messages from time to - time saying it was saving progress when switching severs or leaving MP to go back to SP.

 

But on R*'s Social Club, It shows my MP dude as Rank 0 with 0 dollars cash.

 

 

GTAOnline is the worst flop ever, If i don't get my MP character back from at least a backup (which i'm fine with) Then I will not set a foot online again.

 

 

Seems like a Demo to me, Play it for as long as you want. Quit, Turn off console, Reboot again. Play the game and your back to Rank 1

I didn't think the characters getting deleted would turn out to be such a widespread problem. It's bs to be honest...random bs.

I heard the SimCity one was intentional. The city being simulated was Detroit.

Rank 19/20 character of mine will not load now. Stopped playing the game at 7 AM this morning with everything fine. Had an apartment, 13k or so.

I try to restart game and load straight to online. Nothing. I try to join crew members from the menu. Nothing.

Now, before, I just wait and wait, reload later, the character pops up eventually. I'm going to try to wait for a while. I have never created a new character in the same slot after not finding my original, and I never will, so at least that way I know it might be out there somewhere.

Either way, I'm not going to create new characters. I'm going to get my ranked up character or not play the game.

As for people complaining about people with somewhat high level players, I don't know of any glitches. I have played survival (unlocks at rank 15), and if you are good at that you can make a lot of cash. Some of us just play a lot and don't screw around all silly like in free mode all of the time. Just sometimes.

My suggestion is do not create new characters. Do not continue to try to load the game.

Find something else to do, relax, and forget about it for a while. Come back later and maybe their horrible server problems will be fixed just long enough for you to log on and play, then log out, and deal with it all over again tomorrow or the next day.

yea i just lost my char i wonder if they did a rollback my 6th character none has been higher than 16 but thats still some time lost and getting old

They should just shut online down. It's a waste of time if all of your sh*t is gonna get deleted.

Seriously, they should have taken an extra 1 or 2 months to fix GTA online to acceptable standards before release.

 

I have no idea why Rockstar even allowed the release of GTA online in this state.

i drove to a property in vinewood that was $128k and bought it in person. i think i saw something on youtube about it but i didn't even think of that when i bough tit that way. i went there in person so i could buy it and immediately go inside and save the game since i had heard of people buying properties on the web, and getting killed or booted while driving to the property and losing it that way. so basically i was just being cautious.

the first property i got for free before the patch. it was a glitch. i didn't use the glitch on purpose. the second property i paid for but essentially i paid $140k for a $205k property.

this just appened to me 2 hrs ago as well.... ( same bald guy with headphone and make up ...) the wierd thing is my car is still there, the money (15k ) came back AFTER I'm done with the first few mission ( coz I was pushed back to rank 1...) So now I still have my money and car but lost my rank.....

Worst online laucnh ever? It surpassed Sim City? HAHAHAHAH! No. Sim City could not even be played offline, because when a game force you to be always on, online issues make the whole thing unplayable. Online can be played, but also offline too.
