Right, this game is great, but it's annoying, never had this character loss rubbish with other games, anyways since the 1st October, I couldn't get online the 1st day, 2nd day I got on and reached rank 6 before quitting, then I logged in, character deleted.

 

I checked forums and mates who said don't bother until fixed, so a couple of days later, update 1.02 comes out and I create a new character in slot 2, apart from missions and deathmatches etc taking about 2 mins to load up, things were okay and I got to rank 7, but then I log in again later on and character gone.

 

Now today, I log in, I get failed to match-make and can't find game location, so I think forget this, getting annoying.

 

I like SP and like what I've been able to play online, so I retried just a while ago and now, it goes to online pretty quickly and both my characters are back, slot 1 and 2, however now both are rank 1, both have bald heads with red headphones and the same clothes.

 

Will my characters get back their actual ranks back? I'm sorry and call me cynical but I'm betting more of this is to come, I only want one character and want him for all my GTA online experience, without losing stats and rank, maybe Rockstar need to ask the makers of COD, Battlefield, Uncharted etc for some help, because this launch of online as been appaling.

They should just shut online down. It's a waste of time if all of your sh*t is gonna get deleted.

Go check on social club, if they are original rank then its likely yes, if not u may have made / saved during some rocky server moments

On Social Club, my rank is 1, cash = 3,475

 

play time 2hr 58 min

 

It's all messed up, how can someone be rank 1 and have that playing time, plus it says my best weapon currently in Micro Smg, and that's not unlocked at rank 1.

Almost every thread here is people losing their sh*t. Most people are experiencing problems. The online is broken.

So you've not once not been able to get online? not had to do the tutorial and watch the opening scene (char on a plane, getting picked up by lemar which you can't skip) more than once? have to race Lemar/other players more than once? get some clothes more than once? find a car to track and insure more than once? before even getting into online with other players?

 

 

No fun in taking time doing what you've already done without knowing if you'll need to do it again and again until this online is properly fixed.

Same story here, character seems to be gone for now, but i hope it's gonna come back, since there is stats on the social club site.

Dids- i had the race issue first day, glitcged through it somehow without doing it ( no one can invite me) but other than that since no issues at all always connects never d/cs other than like once for a few mins. Do have a strange duplicating car glitch though with my main ride but thats all good lol. Sorry to make everyone sad just have faith!

I was a rank 28 and just lost mine about an hour or so ago. I had 600+ k in the bank and when I check to see if my character comes back sometimes my money will be there and sometimes its not. I don't feel like putting all that time back into this pos game

This is a forum for GTA ONLINE, there are clear issues with the game and I believe this is as good as anywhere to share your problems.

Mine have bald heads, red headphones, white t-shirts with crew emblem, grey pants and black and white chequered shoes, nothing like what I created, I also have my insured and tracked vehicle available but I'm not even gonna try and edit it back to normal like put on some decent clothes again and get some hair because knowing what's happened since Tuesday, it'll be all a waste of time and probably end up going round in circles.

Yep. Looks like we have to start all over again... But i think I've lost my interest in GTA:O for a while.

Had about 300k in cash and rank 54. Now I'm 1 with nothing in cash.

 

Weird thing is I never had problems with the game or getting into online until now.

Boycott till your Hearts content. The rest of us will wait for R* to patch it. Sure it's a nuisance and annoying, but the game is fun. Leave if you want. No one is stopping you.
