oblivionskate Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) It just depends on who you are, I've been a fan of experimental (which isn't for everyone) for a while so flying lotus, hudson, Dabrye, thundercat, etc was something that's unheard of to have in a game series as big as GTA. I personally think they could have picked better songs from some of the artists but they're still great tracks. And they have Footwork/juke artists on the station "DJ Rashad, Machinedrum" which is REALLY unheard of in a game. It's a genre that was almost only made and heard for damn near two decades in only two cities, Chicago and Detroit (where im from). But It's branched out a bit globally starting last year, with GTA exposing the genre even further. I am an avid listener of classic death metal but I find myself listening to the Lowdown and Worldwide a lot. Fly Lo Fm is a good example of modern synergy.
