you may have forgot to exit GTA online the proper way...

 

Note: When exiting GTA Online, please pause the game and choose to return to Single Player. This will trigger a save and ensure that progress since the last auto-save is recorded. If you purchase items and immediately power the console off or exit through console system menus, those items may not be saved.

Nope, I did it the correct way...

 

 

Yes this happens if the cloud servers are down. Then even if doing it the correct way, it won't save because the cloud servers are down. Thats why I always check rockstar social club if my stats and money is up to date there. If yes, then it's usually safe to exit the game as the could servers are up.

Pull out your camera phone before logging, take a pic then hit continue/save IF there is NO orange spinning circle at bottom right the server is down and you should wait before logging.

If it's not saving then why does it not give me my 200k back?

how come it saves what I've spent and not what I've bought?

 

I should return to my last location with the same points and money if the game didn't save.

oh wowww. thats bs lol. now we need some sort of indicator on our pause menu to confirm if the cloud servers are up or down so i know when i can freaking exit the game.
