Bounties should be limited

I was finally able to get online last night after downloading the update (thanks R*), finished the tutorial and set off to do the beginning missions. I didn't even get to do the 1st mission when a buddy who was also in that world with me says "hey man you have a bounty on you". I was like "WTF?" He said "yeah someone put a bounty on you". lol Mind you I just started playing and haven't even killed a NPC yet.

 

Anyway I spent the next half hour getting killed over and over. They would put a bounty on me then kill me, put a bounty on me then kill me, rinse and repeat. I didn't want to puss out and use passive mode so I did try to fight back and my buddy tried to help but then they started putting bounties on him too. lol Regardless, it was too overwhelming. I only had a pistol while they had SMGs and shotguns.

 

I made it to Ammunition a few times to get a vest but then they would surround it and kill me as soon as I came out. lol It was kinda fun at 1st as I took on the challenge but then I realized I'm wasting my time. I cant make any money, level up or progress like this and they're getting money from killing me so I eventually left to a different server.

 

I'm not whining about them picking on me. I just don't think the good outway the bad in this. Experience players have an easy way to make money while new players are being held up from progressing. I think you should only be allowed to put a bounty on ppl who also have the ability to put out bounties or maybe a certain level and below are off limits to bounties. I also think you should only be allowed to put bounties on ppl out of revenge like after someone kills you.

 

Just my 2c. Thoughts?

I was the only one online last night, I stole the weasel news van and it said "UNKNOWN watch out someone put a bounty of $1000 on you". Now I get online, first thing that pops up is that again. I'm like WTF, can NPC's put out bountys or what?

Honestly the bounty thing is retarded, and you shouldn't be able to accumulate a bounty if you haven't done anything wrong.

I don't know if this rings true and you can only put bounties on rank 10+'s
