Freeroam: I have been fine throughout the whole evening in an invite only session with my friends. Money has been saving to the bank.

 

Jobs/Missions: Over the evening i have not been able to do any Jobs/Missions as i go to the loading screen and it says "Downloading". This will never go to the session (it was running smoothly this morning) and will eventually just tell me to go back to Freeroam.

 

Update: There has been a recent update from Rockstar saying that they are working with Sony to fix these server problems, as other people have been having the same/worse problems than i have.

I hope that means the cloud servers are getting back up slowly one after the other. Mine is still missing though and I lost my character yesterday.

Wouldn't that over write your previous character if you use the same slot?

Proper exit technique is bullcrap. I did that all the time, and my character is gone anyways.

 

I was online playing when the servers died in the morning today around 10:30AM Eastern time Saturday. So if my character is gone, the real reason is "because you were playing when the servers died and it produced an error on your character"

 

in which case, the only solution is "Don't play GTA Online" because you can't predict if the server will die when you are playing.

Back online for me, character lost from yesterday is still MIA. The money I've made/spent is still shown on the social club page, but everything else is 0.

 

Its funny how it kept track of the money I spent, but not what I spent it on. lol

yup! I just overwrite the slots where I had a lower ranked character. My highest ranked character and my last one to vanish was in slot 1 so ill be using slot 2 later I guess.

 

I understand remaking in a slot where a previous character was pretty much means I will never get the character that was once there back.
