OH MY GOD f*ck XBOX f*ck MICROSOFT

yeah everyone has kind of forgotten about that now.

Give it a week or so when the servers have stabilized and nobody will even remember any of this.

If it changed at all, I have more respect now than before. They are clearly in uncharted territory for consoles with what they are doing, and are taking on challenges that they know will be difficult.

The fact no other dev team has taken on this challenge proves that it's a ballsy move, and can only benefit the gamer in the long run. Who cares if it doesn't work perfectly for a few weeks?

Honestly, if your view of R* has changed for the worse just because of a few server errors in the first week of launch then you're basically an ungrateful c*nt! Don't you remember what current gen games used to look like? Imagine what the games will look like at the end of the next gen era...

Um, how is it uncharted territory. There are several MMOs on Consoles. And GTAO isn't even a real mmo, it's a 16man multiplayer, which is NOT unheard of.

Yeah, uh, most normal people haven't forgotten about MS being retarded.

Yes. I now see them as exceptionally fine single-player game developer that got a bit naive and far too greedy for it's own good when launching a multiplayer segment of a single player game, that has delusions of being a pseudo-MMO.

With so many active players across the globe? That have such large, detailed worlds in generation-leading graphics? If you say so...

Says nothing about MMO there, GTAO isn't even an MMO? What?

I think he's talking about graphics, gameplay, and trying to get 15 million copies of GTA online at the same time.

Sir Phil McKraken

My view is unchanged. They took a massive leap forward and risk about doing the Online. Its very ambitious and because a few children cant get over the fact that Online games will always have server issues on release, there will always be whining. Imagine the amount of people trying to connect at one time. When it works, its very smooth and slick.

My respect for them will greatly increase if they can pull off the PC version properly like they did with Max Payne 3. That was one of the best looking and running games on PC as of late.

DCUO, Defiance, Ascend etc etc etc. Just a few of the games that did it first on consoles. Graphics on all are as good if not better, and all span more than one platform. In no way is GTAO ground breaking.

My views havent changed.

They still make great games that are fun to play, however its a hugely ambitious project to create on online console only game for so many players.

They are fixing it as fast as they can and warned everyone before hand that there would be issues.

We all knew there would be problems and servers crashing with so many people trying to acces it day 1 so all the whining and moaning is pointless as you were warned beforehand aboue bugs.

From the sounds of it rockstar want to create an online world for the players and with the players by requesting as much player feedback as possible and introducing player inspired ideas.

I admire rockstar for what they are trying tbh

R* is a great company and I have always loved the GTA series but this just shows that they can't handle a game which revolves around being online.

You can find a better picture than a kid, dude, come on.

For me, nothing has changed. RockStar bought some new servers and were changing things around and PSN gave server errors

What they really need to do is put more servers online, and put each platform and area on it's own servers....i.e. NA XBox, NA PS3, EU XBox and EU PS3. That would help with server stability. With the launch of any large miltiplayer or MMO there are always growing pains when it starts, that is par for the course and I wasn't surprised. However, there are bugs, technical issues and other issues in game that need to be looked into.

They are installing them as we speak.

Or already have done it.

It is called server migration.
