Why having a bounty is secretly hilarious.

Having a bounty on your head is, in my opinion, hilarious.

Why? Because everyone who hunts you down downgrades their IQ to about 5.

 

Here's what happened to me. Someone put a bounty of $3k on me, an NPC because I stole his car.

Feeling brave, I left my apartment to get a haircut, and while that was going on, there was some idiot trying to ram the window of the hair salon, as if thinking he would break the window. I just stood there as he tried and tried again. Better yet when he wandered into the store to try and kill me, unaware that he couldn't use weapons.

 

Tried to steal my car, didn't work.

 

So he drove off, and I got back into my car and began to drive home. Obviously he tried to ram/shoot at me, crashing several times. I got home, entered my apartment and...he rang the bell, sending the following message.

 

"Let me in, f*cker"

 

I didn't let him, but maybe I should have, to show he still couldn't kill me. I just watched him on CCTV, trying to get into the apartment though other means.

I had a bounty of 7k (Npc) The I.Q of people was just dumb worse even, they did a halve hearted chase on me before they couldn't (?) be bothered to chase me I ended up having an extra 7K in the end

OT: I had a random bounty of a whopping 10k placed on me in a room with only 4 people.The other three were busy trying to get into Fort Zancudo, but I could clearly see the last guy making a B-line for me. I went to the best hiding place in the game for now: the subway tunnels. I sat down there behind a pile of wood planks for a good 30 minutes, and he started sending me text messages.

I got the 10k, then navigated my way out and killed him.

Not a very good story, but I've only been chased for a bounty once. I had a 1K bounty on me (placed by NPC), when I noticed two people on the minimap coming for me. I was right next to a parking garage, and just entered it, waiting for them. They came riding a motorcycle, and I killed the first one before he could even get off it. The other one I killed just as he got off the bike. I then went to the top floor (roof parking) area of the parking garage, and waited for them to return. Killed both again after they exited their car on the ground.

Had a bounty on my head, decided to camp out at Mount Chiliad (since I wanted the 24 hour achievement).

 

One guy decided he wanted to kill me, but couldn't figure out how to get to the top of the mountain. After about 5 minutes of struggling, he decided to just turn his Xbox off.

Had a 5k bounty earlier, and some asshole of course wanted it, so he came after me, in a helicopter, with a sniper rifle. Only catch was, I was in my apartment, and he didn't know where I was XD. He comes and lands on the roof adjacent to my building, and pulls out his sniper scanning for me ALL over the area where I should be, looking at the alleys, on the roofs, behind his chopper even, XD. He eventually slipped and ragdolled it all the way to the bottom, (like 50 stories) splatting like a water balloon onto the cars parked in the parking lot below. It was hilarious. I would have taken his chopper, but I had no way to the roof he was camping on looking for me.

I was watching some TV in my apartment (Fame or Same) and got a 9k bounty on me. This guy tries every way to get into my house: garage, front door (walking against the door and buzzing in) and roof (helicopter). He notices he can't get it and leaves, and later returns with a f*cking jet and starts bombing my apartment XD.

If I ever get a bounty on me again, I'll go to my apartment again and invite everyone in.

From my experience (3 bounties) 24 hours+ complete the hour (so if the bounty is put on you at 9.34am, you have to survive to 10am the next day). Also, during bounties you're allowed to get killed by peds, cops etc.

if you sit out and wait, even in a online solo session the bounty will be cleared and you will get the cash for surviving.

I was walking out of the clothes shop when a guy who had a 9k bounty on his head flew past. I was bored so I got in my car and chased him. Fast forward about 120 seconds and I killed him with a nade and got 9k, then went on my way doing missions.

 

The dude was mad as hell, so I though it was hilarious despite the opposite circumstances between OPs and my situation.

i had a 1k bounty and didnt realise at the time.

 

when i did figure out why some asshole was trying to kill me i figured it out.

 

he did manage to kill me when i got tangled up with a tree.

 

i them did the 1 on 1 DM with him and killed him 5 times, so him medical bills out weighed the bounty....so all good for me

This is me as the bounty hunter. As I was sitting in my car he pulled up in his car and killed me. When I respawned I immediately went into passive mode because I just wanted to do some free roaming. That's when I noticed the message informing me of the bounty for 7k on him. I followed him to a local 24/7 which he was in the process of robbing. I stood next to him and waited for him to get his cash and then I was going to kill him but I forgot to disable passive mode. When he got his cash he immediately turned to me and fired a couple of shots, but the clerk behind the counter pulled out a shotgun and blasted his ass. I walked over to his dead body and took the cash he just robbed and then I casually walked past the cops that came in after him. I then took his car and drove it into a lake. Moral of the story, be careful who you f*ck with.

Had 2 kids the other day who were really bad trying to chase me in a npc car after i just got out of doing a few survials so i had a full mini gun. rpg, and a lot of ammo, im in my entity and i just kept getting a good lead on them, stopping my car, getting cover then blowing them up as they rounded a corner. They literally let me do this 4 times in a row stealing npc cars before they started trying to strategize over the mic. And they werent in a private convo so i heard every word of it. I decided to go back to my garage since my car took a decent amount of damage during this. They sat waiting in front of my garage like i couldnt see there dots there and was just gonna drive back out. I went to grab a drink and snacks and come back to them still sitting there and texts from them saying to stop hiding and come fight like a man lol.

Sounds like he was just tarded OP, a smart person would have done things like block you in with their PV or shoot the doors open from the outside and then you while they are swung open, laden the exit with stickies, call muggers and mercenaries on you etc etc.. better yet, park a PV there and then come back and replace it with a tank.

Had a $7K bounty on me from an NPC, some lazy assclown spent $7.5K on mercenaries to come after me (which is already a maths fail).

 

He obviously didn't know that mercenary kills don't count towards a bounty, so I let them kill me so he wouldn't get a refund and then flew around Blane County in a Mallard until the bounty expired.

If you steal NPC cars, you randomly get a bounty. The amount will be 1,3,5,7 or 9k $. I play with friends and try to have a bounty constantly as it is free cash if you don't get killed by a player for 24hrs in game.

 

I have stolen around 1750 cars so far!

Around a week ago or so, someone (don't remember if NPC or a player) put a $7000 bounty on me. I was in my Apartment, but I left with my Bati since staying in Apartments/Garages is a boring method of trying to keep the Bounty.

 

Anyways, I left there and had about half of the lobby (5-6 players) run after me. I was the only guy with a bounty in the lobby at that time. I had both Super Heavy Armor and Bulletproof Tires so they had to kill me on the bike if they wanted the bounty...

 

... when we reached the highway section, I planted a Sticky Bomb right before jumping off a rail with the bike (an epic method of escaping, mind you) and exploded 3 of the people chasing me. I got 3 Bad Sport warnings and lost a lot of money to their Insurances, but it was worth it.
