It baffles me how this forum is literally full of posts about players losing characters and progress yet people still act surprised when it happens to them (and go on to make even more posts about it).

 

People, STOP PLAYING and wait for the issues to be fixed before continuing. If you insist on playing accept the fact that your progress will probably not save until the cloud servers are fully functional.

sorry mate but ive searched as its just happened to me and didnt know it even happened!!! 5 million people playing etc?! think about before you speak we're not ll on these forums dickhead.

 

anyway heres a pic of my socialclub page.. still shows the money ie earned but a reset toon!!

 

 

 

You obviously didn't search these forums much, because almost all the threads on the first page are about the cloud servers being down and characters lost.

 

What you're seeing there on the Social Club page is the last version of your game progress that was successfully saved before the cloud servers went down.

 

Please stop! like you have a single clue about what your talking about!!

The last time it saved I would have been level 10 like when i played a solo session 45 mins ago.. It's been deleted, how or why non of us low level gamers have a bloody clue do we.. Only RS does.

If this happened pre patch I wouldn't even be slightly pissed as it was a known problem. Like most here after the patch I didn't expect it. The money doesn't bother me as much as losing the weapons

Lvl 18 gone I'm not making a new character till I know 100% it's gone and cloud servers are definitely back up I think that's how you lose it for good because you're overwriting you old character ,but it's hard resist making a new one

Yeah I hear ya.. me and my chums have had a really good time over the last couple of days and I've grown to really like my toon, with clothes, tattoos, weapons etc.. its the thought of doing it all again.. 12-15 hour grind of hell.. not cool

I'm not usually one to bitch or demand things but by this forum it looks like a lot of people lost their characters and a server wipe would be the best thing they could do. Don't see it happening .

Second time mine was deleted, Lvl 10 with 70k in cash. On social club my character and stats is completely wiped. Hopefully it comes back.

 

What kills me is my three crew members all logged in when I told them, and theirs are all fine. They're playing as I type this.

Same here was in a friends only game with two others. I got out in a new lobby after a mission and couldn't get back on. They are still playig

just noticed that right at the bottom of the social club page its say's "there are no available stats for your character please check back later" hopefully this means its not deleted and more of a server glitch or something? I live in hope

Cloud servers are UP, game is UP, confirmed my level 15 on PS3 is totally erased. Everyone's character was wiped. Doubters will see as soon as they log in.

My account has always been fine.. I log out and log in properly.. A lot of people disconnect while the game is saving or turn their consoles off. Gotta take your time. I have 1.34 million and level 36.

Love R* and GTAO is superb but they need to let us know what action they are taking and what we should do because as of now it's a waste of time.

 

I been ok since launch on Tuesday apart from losing a garage on Thursday. Built my funds up til I knew it was safe to purchase again but everything's been wiped today. It's took all the fun out of it.

 

Just shut the thing down and start again when it's ready, instead of having us waste our time.

Just tried to load characters again. My corrupted slot 1 has just returned. Slot 2 (The character I actually use now) still missing. But it might just be servers coming online.

 

Both of the characters were missing when everyone else said the servers were online. And my Social Club still says pretty much 0 everything except cash.

This sorta happened to me, heres the story.

 

I logged on downloaded the update, servers were down and character was gone with the option to create a temp character.

 

Friend told me to log off turn off ps3 and restart, it worked.
