wy do i lose my save on online if my ps3 got stuck when im trying to g

it's already done two times I was just trying to get online but some how i could reach the server so it normal would send you back but it did not i did get stuck so i did end the game but when i was trying to do it agen my save file of my accound was gone and it just pissing me of that i need to do the stuff over and over to just play whit my frends.
