Sportsmanship Problem (UK)

Guys I was playing gta online yesterday and a man drove up and shot me so I returned fire in self defense and his car then exploded. Then again this man attacks me and keeps following me so I got in the car and drove it into the river and now i'm told im a bad sport for this retaliatory action. I am an honourable player I do not grief anyone I like to cooperate and use teamwork. I also play for a cricket club in real life so you know that I value the spirit over entertainment

 

Can any administrator here please remove my bad sport rating I don't want to play w/ bad ppl and all I did was defend myself from a griefer.

Pretty much same thing happened to me. Someone who was in passive mode ran me over with a car and stole MY car. I chased them down and ran them over and I got booted like it was my fault.

 

Basically you have to play missions, see who's actually playing to win, friend them, and join their sessions. Playing with random people always results in dickbaggery.

Why not a bad sport rating for the griefer!! Why am I a bad sport becaue the guys car blew up when I returned fire in self defense!? he was shooting out of his car I had no choice but to fire at the car.

So I let some guy follow me and kill me over and over while I lose everytrhing in my bank and cannot shoot back or get branded a bad sport??? This is bizarro world logic im sorry I hate to use harsh terms but it is.

It's not a joke I just meant it to show how I value spirit of the game and i'm not some asshole griefer. The meaning is probably lost here but we (cricketers) take this stuff seriously. Sorry if it's unrelated, just focus on my bad sport point then.

Sorry for a double post if a mod could merge I would appreciate it. One thing I forgot to mention about this that you all need to know is that once this happens to you you no longer end up in freeroam w/ ur friends and crew by default and they no longer end up with you. its a major problem guys so if anyone shoots back its ok for you to kill them but do NOT RISK shooting at a players car or you risk ending up like me!

Same to me. A guy was running from the cops so i stopped and let him in my car and drove him to safety. As soon as he got out he blew my face off and stole my car so i went on a rampage and killed him twice which landed me in trouble. Why doesn't he get labelled bad sport?

I heard that you can kick players from Online sessions without a reason or vote from other players. Personally, I haven't done it myself.

 

If someone steals your car right in front of you, open up the Menu by holding in SELECT (PS3) or BACK (Xbox 360) then change "Vehicle Access" to "NO ONE". Your car will stop and they'll be kicked out of it. Then for added fun, select "Passive Mode" and set your "Action" to "The Bird". Push and hold both sticks in while standing right in front of their face.

Its funny because I did almost the exact same thing. Was driving along when another player drove up next to me at the docks. We were cruising around the borders. Anyways he started shooting at me, so I shot back and killed him. He spawned in and blew up my car, so I killed him again, and drove his into the ocean. Didn't get bad sport though, just a 3000$ bounty by the player. Had it for over 6 hours now, nobody has claimed it yet.

As long as you mindlessly attack everyone on sight *from your car* anyone who dares fight back gets slapped as the guilty party.

A dude stole my car and the cops chased him and when I got in my car after he got out of it, *I* was the one who got a 2 star cop rating for stealing my own car back. I died from my car blowing up and it got impounded. Had to steal it back from the impound and lose another 2 star rating.

 

That is a lot of hassle just from some dude getting in my car. what an asshole
