Hosting/Inviting system problems.

Does anyone else have problems with the hosting and invite system? I understand RS servers are overloaded and sh*t, but with the patch seeming to smooth things out a bit I thought it would get better. Everytime I host a game, you of course get the usual options;

 

Auto-invite and play. - It just seems to invite the people in the Free Mode... who 99% want to freemode.. that's why they are in it.

 

Skilled Players - Seems to invite a random group of 16, doesn't seem to work. The 16 players never seem to refresh or anything in the current lobby.

 

Then you have matchmaking open or closed. I'm assuming if this was open people would auto-join if they used quick job or through the pause menu. No one EVER joins while it's open. I'm hoping this is the case of the matchmaking toggle.. cause if it isn't the system is stupid.

 

It seems to me it would only invite from the pool of your Freemode and not the ocean..

 

 

Or is it just my connection? Everything seems to be green on my end. Join freemode games fine. Freemode silky smooth. Quick join for other gametypes the same.. but a lot of times the room I join has one dude waiting. Only one game I join that maxed out and it was DM. I been trying to race and quick join mostly gets me into rooms with low pops, sometimes it can hit 6 or so.. but of course these suckers have catchup on.

 

I've tried changing my targetting from free-aim to the other two types to see if the pools of players would be bigger but it seems to be the same issue.

 

Anyone else have the same problem hosting? Or does no one like race? There must be 10's of thousands of people on.. wtf!

Yes, I think a lot of people are experiencing this problem...some of them may not even realize it.

 

I have basically given up on hosting a job unless I have friends/crew members online. If I try to host, NOBODY joins (even with open session enabled). I can't rely on Auto-invite because it doesn't work properly most of the time.
