"Timed out locating session."

Hi, so I've been playing for the last couple of days but today I couldn't get online, have tried every couple of hours but still nothing.

after ages of loading I get "Timed out locating session."

Any known reason for that to happen? Any fix? I'm on PS3 by the way, and done the 1.02 update

I've gotten on without ever seeing the timed out session thing.. I've gotten the could not connect to their cloud or whatever buuut.. maybe your internet is slow, tho i do play on the xbox so maybe thats a psn thing on their side.

edit: should be noted i haven't gotten on today yet so this could be new bug breaking ground.

I have been playing all day no problem. But there is a server issue now. I have been getting the same error message for the last 45m or so.

 

Also my internet is 79mbps / 16mpbs so no, not slow

I've had the same problem for exactly 4 hours now on PS3.

I'm also experiencing the same problem on PS3 after I was able to gain access without any faults yesterday.

 

120MB Fibre optic so I know it isn't my internet.

 

Evidently it's a server issue so we'll just have to wait patiently till it's back online, hopefully soon because my misses has gone round town and I'm bored as a motherf*cker.

I think the server/cloud page would be a good idea, I remember seeing something like that in Call of Duty where if the servers are down it would report as Defcon 5.

 

I think it would appease a lot of people if there was something we could relate to server wise with regards to downtime etc.
