If you access the character selection menu is the character picture of Michael "brighter" than normally? I think it is brighter when the game does not allow you to use a certain character on purpose. Threewiseman Posted October 6, 2013 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Same thing has happened to me at the exact same mission. It seemed to occur just after the online update. Other people have said they can't swap characters at all but I can swap between Franklin and Trevor and do side missions. I can even do the assassination missions with franklin. I can't, however, access the next main mission. (I'm assuming it's activated by Michael who is greyed out). It's so annoying, I'm so close to the end but haven't been able to play . EarthboundMysfit Posted October 6, 2013 Share Posted October 6, 2013 I have just finished the mission were Micheal and Franklin stays at the Union Depository entrance while Lester and Trevor seek the convoy from the helicopter. After a while i finished this mission i could not choose Michael for free roaming... Ditto, going on to our 4th day(real time) of being stuck w/ just Trevor and Franklin as playable too(exactly the same spot as mentioned above by OP).... I have done everything that those two characters can do now, and have spent 16-20hrs of just free roaming around, which equates to a couple month's of in-game time, and still stuck with no continuing mission. This, combined with the plethora of online problems/bugs/character deletions leaves this game all-but-playable. I'm not one to "complain", typically, but with these two(online AND offline) game-breaking issues, what else is there to do. Game has lost ALL replay/play-value. Hope SOMETHING gets fixed soon on the game, or otherwise this can only be looked at as a broken/incomplete game that was a complete waste of $65. Anyway, you wouldn't by chance know of how i would go about STARTiNG thats mission, would you?... Because, maybe i forgot to mention, i have NO letters(the ones representing missions) left on my pause menu map for either Trevor, or Franklin... and again, Michael is un-selectable. Like i did say though, been free-roaming for the past 24hrs real-time, waiting for something to spawn. It's like I've beat the game, although i post-ironically, haven't, and only have two characters to play on. It would be nice to finally beat the story mode, since GTA-O is currently bunk. Seems to be pretty common having had a quick google. I've tried every suggestion that I've read but I might just have to start from scratch again, which I am paranoid about doing in case I get to the exact same point for it to happen again... traviz28 Posted October 6, 2013 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Similar issue, I finished the mission where you shoot down the plane from the sky and trevor finishes the mission stealing the mob bosses wife. After that, the camera switched to franklin with only an assassination mission to do (the second one) and a Michael mission however when I go to the green M at michaels house, nothing happens and I cannot switch to Michael or Trevor, they are greyed out on my wheel. I dont know what to do and this is my second play-through. I had no issues the first time I beat the game. Any ideas? I did do the assassination mission to see if that would help and it did not.
