Rockstar are so bad, silly money glitch

I managed to get it to work but it only let me do it twice per car.

Sell car, Push start button, RB until xbox store tab shows, A to go into store, B to back out then sell again.

it's not embarrassing it's a game that probably has trillions of lines of code. if any of you were sw engineers(I'm not) you might understand how hard it is to get so many different things working together 100%. they'll fix it soon assuredly. it happens in sp also the whole quick pausing bug.

Oh for sure there are always going to be bugs. But bugs of this level are not excusable in any way, it IS a joke that this glitch wasn't picked up in testing. Very embarrassing actually.

 

 

Not really. They probably have some standard functionality for sending and receiving data packets which are used for all sorts of different things. I doubt there was much testing into "what happens if the data packets fail to send", since the standard protocol would be just to send it with the next bunch (whenever that may be). And even if there was much testing into it, I doubt anyone tested EVERY single individual situation when a data packet could be sent. More likely, they probably had a handful of test scenarios which they felt covered the entire spectrum.

Software testing is usually a percentages game. Rarely, if ever, will you see a piece of software with 100% code test coverage. And even with 100% code test coverage, bugs can still exist if the code was not tested specific ways. Every possible scenario cannot be predicted by the developers, and there are a lot of assumptions which are made when coding and testing.
