Rockstar are so bad, silly money glitch

Rockstar have clearly demonstrated their incompetence when it comes to the world of online game and bug checking. There are COUNTLESS money glitches in this game if you know where and how to look. Quite frankly these glitches ruin the game, and I believe that the only way to get them patched is to share them with the community.

 

This method allows you to make upwards of 500k and hour easy.

 

Steal a car, take it to Los Santos Customs, click on sell car, and as soon as you click sell, press start (ps3) and press x so that you select the map. Wait for about 10 seconds, collect your cash. Once you are out of the garage, steal another car, and to your surprise you will be able to sell, again and again and again, PROVIDING you hit start and selected the map quickly after you clicked sell.

 

This works by halting the server action long enough to stop it being sent again. When you press start after clicking sell, the server action which enables the whole '24hr period before selling again' is halted and after I guess about 5 seconds the server doesn't send the message again.

 

Essentially after you press start and hit the map, that server packet is sent and overrides the '24hr' packet.

 

Its a really is a poor piece of coding by Rockstar. Enjoy.

In theory there is no reason why it wouldn't work on the Xbox using the same method taking into account different buttons etc, try again. Make sure you hit start or the equivalent very quickly. Remember your trying to override the 24hr packet from server>client (you)

Start a mission and kill pedestrians. Lots of snacks and 12-36 dollars per kill adds up considering pedestrians are everywhere. Since you're in an instance you will not get a wanted level. The only downside is gang heat and bullets cost money but fists, knife, bats, and police sticks are free.

have u even tried this method? it doesnt work more than twice:

 

click sell

press X to confirm

press start quickly and load up "playstation store"

back out of playstation store and sell again

 

so you get money for the car twice

 

also works with raiding stores after picking up the money - but stores can be done unlimited times.

unpause and confirm sell

sell car > pause > RB to quickly go to xbox store > then A then A again, then back out of it by pressing B.

 

but if you f*ck up with the timing... u only gonna sell 2 cars per hour like me lols. plus it comes up on ya profile thing saying how many cars you have sold so, expect a nerf to ya bank balance.

Yes its really ridiculous. I find it crazy how they didn't pick this kind of thing up in bug testing.

Wow This is just embarrassing R*. the whole launch was an epic fail. Provided that u had a grace period of one day. Even the updates didn't help. Look any where that talks about gtaO , u see horror stories. Rockstar is struggling to deal with minor bugs 5 days later. I think it will be a while before they patch this . There are far too many exploits in this game. If they were smart , they will leave the stock market closed for the time being. a glitch like this in the stock market could be devastating to a lot of ppl .

just tried this now and i get the message "we dont need any more cars right now"

so guessing im doing it wrong somewhere

 

only wanting this as i lost 200k this morning.

 

where am i going wrong:

enter LS customs with car

click sell

quickly pause and open map

wait 10 seconds

back out and confirm sell

get another car and repeat

 

edit: do i pause after the confirm sell?

it's not embarrassing it's a game that probably has trillions of lines of code. if any of you were sw engineers(I'm not) you might understand how hard it is to get so many different things working together 100%. they'll fix it soon assuredly. it happens in sp also the whole quick pausing bug.

Oh for sure there are always going to be bugs. But bugs of this level are not excusable in any way, it IS a joke that this glitch wasn't picked up in testing. Very embarrassing actually.

Edit: I wouldn't go as far as calling it a glitch, but a fairly decent abusive action...

In GTA3, if you get any amount of a Wanted Level... ride the subway until the stars go away

Do you know how many glitches are still in Red Dead Redemption? Or even Grand Theft Auto 3? How about... any MMO. Star Trek Online has a fairly decent amount known.
