Vehicle Stats Question

When upgrading performance I've noticed I can max out acceleration on a few cars without having used, for instance, turbo. So if I add turbo and the acceleration stat is already maxed, does it make a difference?

I might be imagining things,but i think it does,at least in single player. My adder was maxed out without turbo tuning,and after I've added that in,it did actually feel a whole lot faster.

Perhaps it is meant to "tip the scales" so to speak. I wish the mechanics could be clarified.

I was wondering this too. "If I could max out the last 1.5 bars of acceleration with a turbo would it make a difference to upgrade the engine?" Might experiment to test if there is a cap

I wish everything wasn't just for acceleration, top speed needs some loving too.

I know how you mean but at this rate changing top-speed ie: Gear ratio would make it more like gran turismo 5 -_-

If you know what I mean; would be cool if you could by a 7th gear upgrade to make top-speed higher

Any of the Transmission upgrades could easily achieve an increase in top speed.
