Black Screen Patch. 1.02?

I clicked to download the patch and all I'm getting is a black screen.....I don't know if I should restart my ps3 at the risk of corrupting some sh*t or what.....is neone else getting that or just me?

I had this problem too, it eventually worked after I restarted a couple times. Idk if it's safe or not but everything seems to be working fine.
