Anybody else miss the good ol' classic Free Mode game type without the blips on the radar of missions and all that other stuff? (There's ALOT!) You know, without having to worry about making money or doing missions. Just straight up Free Mode like it was in GTA IV? Plus giving people the bird & swerving off is funny. Plus you dont have to do missions or any of that stuff, unless you want money/clothes/cars/guns/properties. Mainly because there was nothing to do in liberty city. Every free roam was just a giant deathmatch, which was fun at some points but just gets boring. I love Online, there is a reason to do what you do, and doing missions with friends is fun as heck. There is so much to do and see that Liberty City could not do unless it was modded. In fact I would have been happy with the same set-up but maybe more players and of course a fully accessible map. Nobody goes north and free-roam was so much better in IV. Matticus88 Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I have been enjoying GTA:O so far, Especially when there is two kids who sound like 12, messing around killing each other, then one gives the other a 5k bounty, even though i'm on the other side of the map, i charge in and kill the one with the bounty, then make a run for it and easily lose the other kid. If you look in your bank transactions you'll see money being taken out for hospital bills or some BS. it sucks. I don't hate on you for that but this GTAO madness is seriously the game I, myself have always wanted. GTA IV felt like it was missing a lot. It had potential, but it was laggy, depressing and cold. The online sucked. I only had fun when I free roamed with my friends and played our own game modes. GTAO has a bigger foundation to use your imagination on. More tools and capabilities for a deeper immersion. The best fun I've had since SOCOM 2. and I've had a working game with no character deletion or ugly loading tutorial times. I've had a smooth experience, for the most part. I feel like the hate has to do with the people themselves, not the game. Thanks R*. You still need to fix a lot of this sh*t, though. Off-topic: there's Cops&Crooks on GTAO Topic: I prefer GTA:O by the simple fact that free roam has a point. Customize your guy, do some missions, make money, buy stuff like apartment and cars, assault stores, work your way up in the ranks and there's a bunch of side activites like single-player. In GTA IV the free roam was just to have some fun with your buddies and try doing stunts and stuff like that but besides that the free roam was a bit pointless if you didn't have a friend to play with. IV's MP were pretty fun though like Cops and Crooks but luckily V has brought all of them together and added this new free roam experience so I choose GTAO Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I shouldn't have to resort to doing that just to not lose my sh*t, that is ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that passive mode is f*cking broken.
