Did the patch even do anything?

From what i am now seeing this morning on the forums, it's looking like rockstars patch to "fix issues with GTA Online" that came out today apparently has done absolutely nothing, from what i have seen other players saying with their characters still being erased and not being able to get past the first tutorial.

 

So.... What the actual f*ck rockstar?

Helped me. Had no problems since the update, althrough I had to create a new character.

First race went smooth, the loading times are much, MUCH shorter, jobs work well, been able to play in a 16-plater lobby a couple of times.

Well one thing I think the patch did was make the cops really damn hard...On Tuesday and Wednesday I was able to rob 20+ stores got away everytime no problem.

 

Today after patch I've robbed a good 10 stores so far cause I had to start over and I'm getting 3, and 4 stars right off the bat each robbery and getting smoked by the police now. Died 8 times out of last 10 robberies this never ever happened to me pre patch....

I can play fine and character actually saves.

1 or 2 loading screens took awhile, but it was working great for me.

Patch didn't work I tried solo session, Online session repetitively, Changing characters, Deleting update noone of those worked even the Solo Session and switch to online didn't work I can't even skip the damn tutorial this patch has done nothing!

rockstar just claimed this will patch will happen for 360 as well I'm getting really f*cking pissed off they had a buggy online they should've delayed it!

The latest title update for GTA Online is live for PlayStation 3. We're working to have this up for Xbox 360 as soon as possible today.

Works perfect for me post patch. 0 connection issues or server issues.

Patch worked for me, I can finally play online. Did the first 3 missions and a couple team death matches.

Mine started working on the 3rd and it still works after downloading the new patch.

 

Since getting past the tutorial mission yesterday I haven't had any problems.

I'm watching my buddy play on PS3 right now. it loaded up with no issues. But now griefers are just killing him over and over and over which makes him act like an 8 year old despite the fact he's 26. Kinda funny actually.

The patch did some things - it made it so more people can connect and play only to have their characters still not save...........

The patch broke the replay feature. That's basically the biggest change. Violent Duct's payout also dropped. The whole point of the patch was so people couldn't grind VD anymore.

Mine (360) didn't prompt me to update... is this a PS3 update or both?

Edit: Nvm... started up my PS3 and it needed to update.

I hate how Microsoft has to approve all updates....

It definitely helped in being able to play online.

There are obviously still huge issues though. My character was deleted after playing for a few hours. I made a new character and to see if it would get deleted, I quite GTA and rebooted it. My character is still there, however I can't see any Deathmatch or any Missions on my map now. It must think I am only level two even though my character is actually level six.

 

Seems pretty obvious that Rockstar still have a ways to go until this thing will be up and running smoothly.
