Star missions vs phone missions?

GTA:O has been running flawlessly for the past few days for me (after waiting 3 days to get past the tutorial). I do have one question regarding missions...

 

Are all of the stars on the map competitive missions, and are the only current cooperative missions the really repetitive sh*tty ones that Gerald and Llmar will give you via the phone? Feel's like me and buddies are doing the same crappy "steal the Meth" missions over, and over, and over, and over... Does it get better for those that don't want to just do copy and paste death matches all day?

Yes what? The stars are all competitive? Or that cooperative missions get better?

I just WISH there was an option to make star missions coop, some of them had great potential for fun coop action

From glancing at the descriptions I get the impressions they're all deathmatches... no?

• The stars mission are mostly last man standing and cops and robbers... like 1 team race to catch the coke the other teams is coop trying to stop them... kind of fun if you have a couple friends in a loby but when you die ... loose money for hospital bills... still rewards around 1.5 k or 2 k and good RP points... the one on the phone are from the story line... Gerald yes it's all drugs related and somehow repetitive after a while... simeon are more various... blowing up several cars.. stealing bike etc ... Lamar one's after level 15 are nice but not realy rewarding at 2 k a mission... id' rather rob 4 gas station in a row for 5-6 k ...

It does indeed get better. Currently, I myself have received missions from Lamar, Simeon, Gerald, Lester, Matrin Madrazo, Ron, and Trevor (the latter 4 started showing up around level 15). Also considering Trevor is able to give missions, I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael or Franklin show up later on. Lester also said something about having an apartment for future heists but I'm not sure if that's in yet (nor do I want to check with everybody losing their apartments).

 

I agree that it would've been much better if there were some more diverse missions early on but better late than never.
