Finaldeath Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 I don't think it is merely locking up. Just had it go black right after clicking ok to download the update and waited a couple minutes and when i got up to unplug it again to try again the black screen went away and the game started. Seems to just be an issue with the display rather than a full system lockup. Just give it 5 minutes if this happens to you and see what happens. Poker2012chu Posted October 4, 2013 Share Posted October 4, 2013 For people having problems with the update, just uninstall the patch and all of the game data. Reinstall the game without the patch afterwards. One thing that should be mentioned is that the first few patches in a game don't usually fix much and can actually make the game worse for some. Look no further than Skyrim, a game that was unplayable for some on the PS3 until after the 4th patch (1.4). From here on out, I would look and see how the patch is affecting others before installing it. I'm glad that you OP have gotten it to work though.
