Diving In Alamo Sea?

Just did that mission where "something" goes into the Alamo Sea (trying not to spoil here).

 

How do I dive in this sea? I cant find the little rubber boat in with the diving stuff in it anywhere near the Alamo Sea. What am I missing here?

You can drive up the river in the dinghy and into the Alamo Sea.

Purchase the sonar dock, get ahold of a cargobob, and lift a submarine into the alamo sea, make sure to put it down somewhat near the center, as the shores are preyy shallow.

Where's the Alamo sea?

I thought there was only one sea and one lake...

The Alamo Sea is the big body of water south of Mt Chilliad. Sandy Shores is on the Alamo Sea. It is probably what you are calling a lake (and it is a lake, really). It is inspired by the Salton Sea, in California. In case you hadn't noticed, there are a few other proper lakes around the map: one in Vinewood, and one NE of Los Santos called the Land Act Reservoir.

 

Also, once Michael meets the woman who's husband was "lost at sea" and learns about the submarine parts, a red Dinghy (with scuba gear) begins spawning at the Sonar Collections dock, which is much closer to the Zancudo River, which will take you to the Alamo Sea.
