Firing Rockets Backwards in GTA Races?

How is it done? I know it is probably obvious but I have no idea. And considering I have played so many races and have only just now seen it being implemented I'm pretty sure not many people know about it/how to do it.

Press and hold down the right joystick so you can see behind you,then fire the rockets, that's how!

The first time you play GTA race a little notification window should show up and tell you, but alot of people miss it.
