Online displays my PSN name, not my social club name?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong; I never play online. Why are other people seeing my PSN login name and not my social club name?

 

PSN is Justin4280 and Social Club is Pancake-1. I don't get this...

I received my license plate by customizing my online vehicle on the iFruit app. (got a new paint-job and it appeared)

This is a real disappointment for me as well. I had a cool Social Club name picked out and then when I created my PSN ID I used one of my standard UID versions thinking it would never be seen in game. Now I'm stuck with that lousy identifier online. Sheesh...

Of course it displays your PSN/XBOX Live handle. Those are the REQUIRED accounts to play this game, SClub is NOT required.

 

Maybe you should of put more effort in. Too bad. Don't care.

my psn name (lindfamilynz) sucks as i set it up about two years before this game come out. the name was chosen as my kids also use psn for some of their games. i wish i could change it, but would have to buy a new ps3-4 to do that. where as my sclub and number plaqtes relate to me. SIr Fuka.

Make new PSN, use it for GTAO, problem solved.

Online always used your XBL gamer tag or PSN name. Social club account is created/named separately. Mine happens to be the same, but it isn't always so.

 

On the question of why create a social club acct. - to get an Elegy, of course.
