Medical Insurance

Thought it may be a better idea if you could take out some kind of medical insurance instead of paying the bills. You could pay a certain amount every game month if you choose to have it.

Just a thought after some idiot kept targeting me when I was in passive mode so he would run me over every time I respawned he cost me nearly 10g.

As the medical bills are to expensive

This is set in America. They don't allow people who are at risk of getting ill or dying to have health insurance.

Would be good if it were more like a game and not like real life giving you setbacks and responsibilities like car insurance

Yea I suggested maybe a health insurance you can take out for like 1000 and it lasts for 10 deaths. But yea, the current system stinks!

Maybe a good idea, 50$ a day like the car mechanic?

$50?! lmao, seems a little cheap, it should cost much more than what it does to die once, but whilst covered you can die an unlimited amount of time without paying medical costs.

So, if it costs $2000 every time you die (I agree it should be cheaper, but say R* stick with it), maybe have health insurance cost $10,000 for 24 hours real time. So if you die over 5 times you start saving money?

EDIT: To be honest, maybe make it cost much more than that... $30,000 or something.

That wouldn't really work. The hospital fee caps out at 2000 but until then its 4% of your current banked cash, so if i have 15k its 600 and less each time i die. So I would hardly be in a position to be paying 10k or even 30k for 1 day. Might work for players with large sums of money but unfortunately it is not a blanket solution.

Maybe the more often you die the higher your rates? I like the idea, but $50 a day? You can kill a couple peds and walk away with more than that lol

Ah, didn't know that.

Would take some thinking then, maybe the health insurence would be a different cost depending on how much money you have or... I dunno... the entire loss of money for dying thing sucks, right now at least haha.

Health insurance would obviously need to cost more than what a standard death costs with no insurance, though. Just to balence it out between not having and having it. Otherwise, what would be the point in NOT buying it, if its cheaper to just buy it than die once and pay the percentage/$2000 cap?

Basically it should save you money long term, not short term.

Well the current work around to avoid hospital fees altogether is to just carry all your money and not bank it - since you only ever drop 100 when another player kills you regardless of how much cash you are carrying. IMO the fee should just be removed completely or like i suggested maybe an insurance at X amount that lasts for X number of deaths
