Is Character Saving Fixed?

Question as title. My characters still haven't returned and frankly, i'm a bit pissed that R* refuse to comment on the missing characters issue (which suggests that it's not actually something they can fix). As such, i'm bordering on starting a new character anyway, but not if the game is just going to delete it again.

 

So are things saving okay now? Cars, apartments and characters?

 

EDIT: Additionally, does the first race work now?

I have a character missing so I have done two things..

 

1)

Submitted a (polite & informative) bug / request specifically for the character going missing & whether it is gone for good, may return, will return.

 

And whether or not the underlying issue has been fixed, enabling us to get on with the game without losing any characters we play from now on.

 

2) I started a new GTA game entirely on a different profile (had to do the whole prologue thing before you can get to GTA:O) Then created a new GTA:O character there.

 

I manage to get through the race (just Lamar as usual) although with some very dodgy moments of double cut scene car disappearing radar disapearing, ground disappearing, night becoming day, day becoming night and finally it sorted itself out and let me continue.

 

I managed to do Cyprus Hill with other players. Now I have (hopefully saved) and quit and I will check on that later.

 

The funny thing is, with my two previous characters I was never ever even offered cyprus hill - I didn't know it existed until now. Despite playing in free roam, with other players several times with my second char (so I could get online etc...)

 

 

So certainly still bugs, and no word as yet on the character saving / not saving.

I've submitted a report on missing characters, as of yet they haven't given me a reply.

 

Just started a new character in my second slot, seems to be much more stable now. Got to the race with no problems before realising i'd missed something fundamental during character creation. Started again and things do seem to be running smoothly.
