Whats your views

 

I actually hope to see it make its way into the GTA Universe ...

 

The only reason I think this will happen is beacuse R* added it, the stuff shown in North Yankton could easily have happened in an existing GTA city, maybe they want to do a new setting before Vice City HD lol - pure speculation on both but whats your thoughts on North Yankton ?

 

I thought the snow and walking though snow slowly were nice touches, it could just have been a really good intro as R* put a lot of effort into interiors that are only used once, so it could be argued they just wanted it to look flushed out.

I'd like to see a full game based in North Yankton for sure. I'd prefer to see than than another city we've alre4ady seen twice (3 including VCS)

Maybe not a full game, but to open it up in a future DLC would be nice. Seems R* went to a lot of trouble to model the place (there are several streets, buildings, police, etc...) for it to just be a Mission Fail if you try to drive downtown and enjoy it.

R* still does the crazy ass thing of making lots of interiors - and large ones at that, mission only ???? and lots of times for one mission. it really would not surprise me if this flushed out section was merely a big open set piece that they made look "open" as they have done before in a GTA game when we went back to libert city.

 

look at the bahama mamas club etc in GTA IV - that was the best club and the closed the interior so early in the game - and yes the story dictated that - but it could have easily been written back in as it wasnt burnt down etc ..

I hadn't actually thought about where it might be. NORTH Yankton, so we know it's gonna be high up. Could be a hint to what the next map might be.

 

It sounds like somewhere you might find in Las Venturas... the only thing that throws me off is the snow.

Agreed. *Slight spoiler alert* There is a mission Trevor does after he finds some of the celebrity items that the crazy strangers/freaks couple is looking for. It involves a car chase literally through a hospital. After the mission, the hospital interior stayed open for a while. I went in there and initiated a fight w police, reaching 5 stars. The police would shoot into the hospital at me from outside but would not enter it. After I had fun for a while, I just hid within the interior of the hospital until my wanted level went away. Then I walked outside and to my surprise an empty FIB SUV was sitting there. I jumped in it and drove it to my garage, where it is still saved. Now, of course, the hospital interior is closed again (Pillbox Medical Center). Long story short, interiors are damn cool. Why not always have an open hospital? Why isn't every convenience store open? Why isn't the facking Casino open? Interiors make for fun times.
