Getting rid of bounties

So I jacked some guys car and he put a bounty on me. How do I get out of it because every bastard is gunning for me!!

Survive for a day in game and you get the bounty.

unfortunately get to level 40+ to have lester take it off for you..

 

or get killed and lose around 3k in medical bills and maybe your car towed if you were in it.

 

or do the above which I never knew about until now thanks guys.
