Why is it so hard...

to find a group of xbox live players who want to do missions, last standings, races, death matches, etc... Every group I get in is just going around killing each other. I want to do missions and make money...

Same issue i had on PS3 last night. Join a crew on SC and play with them.

I have four crews I'm apart of and one that I run, but it seems as if I can only play with the one I run. I'm even apart of the GTA Forums crew, but I don't know how to play with any members from it.

You may need to switch which crew you have set as active.

Die2mosh- I'll be on soon and I'm currently seeking a crew.

I always just choose "Quick job" from the phone and you can play missions, races, death matches, LTS etc over and over without any freemode killing unless you choose to leave.
