Ok, so how do I rob people?

I can never get more than $100 when I kill someone. I had a $9,000 bounty put on me for some reason, a guy then killed me and claimed that money, he also died a second after he killed me. We spawned pretty much in the same place and I instantly killed him. He obviously had at the very least, 9000 on him, yet I still only got the standard $100.

 

I have never recieved big money from killing anybody, and I also haven't noticed losing big money when being killed, despite not depositing often. I'm not buying that EVERY single person I ever killed on this game had less than $5,000 on them.

 

Am I missing something here?

I honestly don't know I heard that's the most you can get from a kill, but as for the whole 5k thing I deposit all my cash as soon as I get it even if its just 200 bucks.

Under 5k on you, you drop 100 if you have more than 5k you drop everything you got besides the 5k

Oh ok, I was under the impression that if someone killed you and you have more than 5k on your person then you will lose it all. For example if you have 100k and someone kills you, you'll lost 95k.

yea im not to sure to be honest, I rarely kill anyone (mostly the people who shoot at me for no reason) and when I do im guessing they just never had anything on them from the start.

Yeah, but why would anyone ever have any money on them? It takes about 5 seconds to deposit it from your phone. The game ever warns you when you're carrying more than $5000 in cash.

Unless this was JUST patched it's false. I've been killed with $16,000+ on me and I only ever drop $100.

I always thought that that was R* babying players by not allowing people to lose all the cash they're carrying.I would prefer that someone that is carrying cash on them that dies should lose ALL the cash they have on them then whats the point of the bank?Its their fault for being an idiot for not depositing their money........

Well that's obviously wrong. I had $8,000 and was killed. Respawned and killed the guy and recovered $200. I still had $8,000 after that. Nice guess though.
