Got my character back with Update 1.02

I loaded the update 1.02

 

Thanks rockstar for finally fixing it :)

GTA Online is a amazing experience and i am glad that it took less than 24 hours to bring my character back. :)

 

The character is not deleted, your character just needs the update and you can play with him again.

Glad to hear it. I genuinely felt bad for people who lost their characters. If I lost mine (level 30) I'd cry.

Im going to go back to slot 1 as it was a lower ranking character, if I lose him again thats it I have had enough until they fix the cloud, even installing the update froze my PS3 first time.

360 didn't get their update yet, should sooner or later though, will prompt on screen.

Slot 1 character: disappeared 48 hours ago

Slot 2 character: disappeared 14 hours ago

 

Haven't touched the slots after that, still no sign of my characters.

Still not got my character.

 

Sucks how R* can't really be bothered to keep us updated and acknowledge most of the problems people are reporting. Or atleast I haven't seen them mention they know about characters disappearing/being deleted.

ive been playing gta for 3 days with characters vanishing, never... ever....ever...ever have i seen a character return after ANY cloud downtimes. So no, theres no patience, that would be forever waiting

My character still isn't there but my money is in the bank (which is the most important part, I've remade my character so many times it'll be easy).

Did you make a new character in the same slot? Then it'll overwrite existing ones.
