Create new characters after the new patch?

What do you think? Are we safe now after the patch/update? I don't mind creating a new character since my two deleted characters were only level 4 and 7. But it will be a pain in the ass if another character will get deleted and we have to start over again.

how did it happen to you, our gang member lost his character and £38.000 and all his levels after 2-3 hrs good play time then a freez after some bike race we enterd. You say theres a patch for this.???

No, my characters are still missing after the update. But my question is if it will be safe to create new characters after the update. So annoying to go through the tutorial over and over again.

I think time will tell about the saving of characters..

Guess R* will release patchnotes soon, and otherwise we will see new posts in this forum whether characters are being saved or not.

I am not sure if it is safe to make new ones. I lost my old ones and I have to go soon, when I get back I'll test it out.

 

 

But they DID say the path was "To fix most of the issues" so maybe. Athough the disappearing characters is caused by a cloud issue, and the patch was for the consoles so don't be suprised if they disappear again.

 

I'm hoping they fix the disappearing characters, too. I've lost more then I can count.

don't know if this will help you, but did you actually load up online to see if your character was missing or just look at the character selector in the bottom right corner of SP? The only reason I ask is because I thought my character was missing when I looked at the selector in the corner but i went to an online session and to my amazement my character that had been missing for 24 hours was back with all stats and money earned. sorry if this did not help you

My toon was missing last night and this morning but all the cash was there lol. Will try the update later and girnd all over again:( PS3 btw.

If you had your character in slot 1 and it was deleted and you made another one on that slot, you're probably gonna lose it.

I created one character (level 7) in slot 1 and the other character (level 4) in slot 2. I haven't touched those slots since the characters disappeared.
