360 users, I wouldn't be too keen on the update; especially if you enjoy entering stores. Can't go to LS Customs etc after the patch on PS3.

Must be something wrong on your end then cause I can rob stores/mod cars no problem after the patch.

Is rockstar even trying anymore? Well at least it solved one thing for me, I was debating on keeping my current gen when next gen comes out only for GTA online. Looks like that is no longer the case.

Well I reckon xbox will get the update around 7am est. Hopefully with no problems like the ps3 update. :lol:

I havent updated the new update that came out today. Funny part about it is last night I got right in to Online. It loaded fine, my character got through the tutorial. I connected with friends. I hosted a game, I joined games. I signed up for the Rock* Socail Network, it worked. I even started playing single player and when I started a message came up on the corner and said that my Gamertag was successfully linked to my Socail Network. Now I'm wondering, everthing is running smooth for me as of last night, will the update screw me?

 

p.s. I'm Xbox 360 - last night was the first time I ever got through the tutorial

I haven't had any trouble with the new patch either.

 

I'm thinking something might have actually gone wrong when they were making all the discs for the game, considering everything for online was already on the disc and the first patch only made it accessible. As if some batches of the game shipped with corrupted files. Might explain why some people have no trouble and others can't even play. That's just a thought though.

hi guys, i understand there are some people experiencing problems with online and i would be lying if i said i hadnt when it was first released but now, even before todays patch, its been running quite well for me, i havnt been disconnected, or had a black screen or freezing issues, ive just had a few bugs such as my personal car being duped when i enter buildings or my body armour not being visible so nothing major.

 

Im on PS3. latest firmware and GTAV patch, Im in the UK so im not sure if this is a more common problem over in the states but i have played with americans but mainly it is UK players and the french (sadly) but that could just be down to locale matchmaking or something, my advice would be to just hold tight, rockstar im sure are working around the clock on this. they wouldnt put all this time effort and money into their first massive online game just to want it to flop over server / connection issues. theyre gonna fix this but i couldnt give you guys an estimated time or date.

 

sorry if people think this is an unnecessary post but id thought id let you know there are people who are experiencing no problems at all with connecting to servers etc.

Well just woke up downloaded patch my characters still gone guess I'll try to start over and post here if I get through

Just downloaded the patch and my character, car, and money are all still there. No problems connecting and everything is running smoothly on my end. Also in eastern us

Well had no issues on ps3 having to redo the 1st race since I lost both my level 9 characters and didnt seem like they were coming back. Hopefully rest of the missions will work flawless as well.

 

I can deal with losing my characters as long as its fixed and doesn't keep happening everytime I turn off my ps3.

What's wrong with this one?

 

It's the same as the other one and both of "hot" threads. Why not just make them into one larger and all around better thread? Well this is the first one I came across worth posting my experience. So in my opinion, this is the better one. And if you want to give people a hard time for having similar threads that's fine by me, but you'd better get busy. A LOT of threads on here need your expertise.
