GTA V Online Planes and helicopters?

Hi

First time posting and im hoping there is a really easy answer. I've finally managed to get online (Woop!) so i thought i would head over to the main airport. Closed. no crashing through fences to gain access. I found a ramp to go in but there are no planes or shall i say no planes i can get in and fly.

I headed over to the desert airport to also find nothing to fly. Is this something that will unlock as i rank up?

I will be massively disappointed if this is a feature that is disabled online.

Any ideas?

I have noticed this too, and apparently they have been removed for the release. The trailers showed aircraft, but come to think of that, only in a "race" situation. Perhaps we can't just access them anymore. There are jets at the military base, but it is literally 10x harder to get into than the base on single player because all of the gates are closed, and the soldiers, my God, they have accurate shots. Every time you die, you also spawn far away on like a little desert thing, and it literally takes 4 minutes to walk back again.

 

It's really annoying. Who knows if they will add them in.

Its all meant to orient you towards purchasing cashpacks.

 

Rockstar will swear up and down that you can do things in game without cashpacks. But at this point (without heists) itll take you forever to level up/gather up enough money to buy the things you want. Like Planes and Helicopters/Property/Cars. It turns things into a grind. What this does is frustrate the players. And theyll be left with three options

 

Continue to grind slowly to the top.

 

Do Hard Heists (once they become available).

 

Purchase cashpacks.

 

If youre a casual player and wont have hours and hours of free time on your hands. Youre going to be more likely to go with Cashpacks. And theyre the people theyre looking to really cash in on.

 

And Id wager the Heists will act as Dungeons in MMOs. Very difficult. The easier Heists will pay out less and less.

That's true - but even so, there isn't a property that you can purchase near the airport that has a hanger, so where would you store an aircraft? I hope the heits come soon. How come there aren't any in the game yet?

Uh.... I fly choppers all the time in Multiplayer you just need to know where to look. *plus a plane and a chopper sometiems spawns at trevors airport*. I don't have a picture at the moment but in Singleplayer, there is a purchasable dock near the bottom of the map, and a purchaseable helipad. The helipad in Multiplayer always has 2 or 3 choppers in it when you head there. Hope this helps
