Installed update.

 

My character is still missing.

A client side patch would never have brought your character back, but hopefully now the game learns to save

 

 

Just try to get to the Character Selection Screen, then log out of your PSN Account, go back to the Game itself and it will prompt you to login again. Do that and (at least it did for me!) you might have your Character back!

At least that´s what I tried and it seems to work.

 

In that case, the issue has been with how some clients have been requesting the wrong save ID's from rockstar servers, ill give it a shot now and see how it goes.

 

 

Gonna sound like a dumbass here, how do I log out of my PSN account while in a game without it quitting the game entirely?

 

Press the Home Button, get to your PSN Tab and press Triangle to sign out of your Account.

 

But as I stated a minute ago... it probably just was another "lucky shot" and it is not guaranteed to work.

 

 

Yeah it didn't work sadly, question is do I want to wait for who knows how long for my character to -maybe- get back..Or just start over.

I've not downloaded the patch yet but I bet my characters still f*cking gone. And if it is, I'm just going to start a new character in the other slot and see how it goes. If they f*ck me over again I'll keep sending R* a support ticket about it.

Personally ... I think I´ll just start over ONE MORE TIME.

If it occurs to me again that my Character is simply vanished after I turn off my Console... I guess I`m just gonna quit playing GTA V for a while and come back once it´s running properly.

That stuff kinda pisses me off. I´m wasting my precious time.

so is this a forsure that the characters are not coming back? i been waiitng 2 days now because i've been told to not start a new one over my recently slot but due to the fact that i was so clueless for the first 3 days gta 5 online was out, i never knew why my characters kept disspearing although my first 3 characters weren't high level'd, i got my most recent one to lvl 7 and i enjoyed it.. the problem is i dont know if it was on slot 1 or slot 2, so i been doing sh*t but checking up on riot, this is my first time actually deciding to say something, so whats the deal, characters prob not coming back than? some1 enlighten me xD

f*ck it guys.
It looks like our c*nting characters are gone! I was level 15 and looked like a badass with a sick red leather jacket. I am pissed rite off.
Took me a day to get there, just gonna graft today again and hope this c*nt saves!

The people who told you to wait dont have the same bug as we do, they have waited maximum 6 hours or so to get their character back, ive waited 48 hours, and ive never seen a character come back.

 

So its two completely different bugs, if you have waited 2 days, its not coming back.

im not too sure but gta 5 online seemed to be working fine for me the other day, i havent played it for a day now.. i'd be pissed if it doesnt work this time tho -__-

I don´t wanna lose another Character because of their f*ck*ng Cloud Servers being down.

Worst idea EVER to force players to save everything on Servers that don´t seem to be configured properly.

rockstar has been saying a patch would be relaesed today , and i think this is the one they were talking about

 

Edit: the reason i said that was because someone else had mentioned in this thread that rockstar would relaease ANOTHER update today to fix the cloud servers which is unlikely

I just don´t understand this, when I connect via my mobile connection (3G) I am alone in the map and can´t join crew members or friends... this is biggest crap I´ve ever seen in my gaming history.
