They have a lot of bills to pay and have had to pay them over the past few years while relying on past sales and DLC. The online issues will be resolved in the next week or so. Please be patient until they are and don't expect your online character progress to save if you can get online. This type of thing IS common, especially among PC based MMOs or games virtual worlds like Second Life, regardless of the size of the companys wallet and the expectations they have about demand. I know this is the internet and you must really get a hard on implying everyone is under 16 because they don't agree with you and therefore they must be infants and people must have a sense of entitlement because they spent their hard earned money on a game which isn't fully accessible ( shut your whore mouth, GTAO was advertised as a feature ). I'm led to believe all the people who are spouting this spoilt child entitlement culture sh*t can afford to simply go out and buy another game to occupy themselves with ma 'n' pa's dollar, which I would have done if I had known this was going to be three weeks of waiting after launch, I wouldn't have bought it just for the single player. Get it through your collectively thick skulls that some people bought it for the multiplayer, are let down by this incredibly sh*tty launch, and are going to complain profusely about it. That's why single player savegames get screwed over when exiting online and weapons/missions disappear, and sh*t like that. It's all related. Rockstar waited to release online, so it would give them time to create patches. The were over confident and underestimated how much work they still needed to do. Now look. Launch days are usually bad, but days after and people are still having major issues, not good at all. Won't hurt Rockstar from a business or financial perspective though and when people finally get online and sorted this will be quickly forgotten. But this launch has been the worst of any game I have played. >People complain they have to wait 2 weeks. >People complain it's still not ready. >If they said a month and not 2 weeks, Hell would of broken lose. >f*ck me and deal with it. I'm only about 40% of the way through. I had 3 days holiday, and my wife was wisiting her family, i had finsihed the game 100% in 85h, with 35% time messing about hanging out and stuff, i do have a full time job, but its not that much, i did use social clubs hint map tough for the collectibles and watched a video on the knife flight and stunt locations since they are not obvious and mny more places look like they could count into that. Same sh*t just happened to me my rank 21 is Gone :[ Alright, my level 13 character has been reset to level 1 with all cash gone, however my car is still registered to the character and I can still select it without playing the tutorial. Because they think every penny they get from the sales is pocket money when in fact I doubt they came away as well off as people think. It's like making movies. this game had a huge budget and that money has to come back before any profit is seen. If it is true that they are swapping to new servers then thats even more money being poured down the drain for the sake of the player. They are spending money on servers, they have to pay all their employees, they have to pay royalties to every person who had anything to do with any song in the game. They paid for all of that advertising and the people who came up with the locations and made it happen. I'm sure they have a gang of lawyers on hand for any lawsuits that may turn up.
