Does Stealth Do Anything in online?

I was wondering if the stealth skill does anything in online, like remove your blip from the map and your name.

I was wondering if the stealth skill does anything in online, like remove your blip from the map and your name.

i believe it might have some use in heists later on.. like a stealth approach ect.

 

also after getting to level 40 you can hide yourself from the map.. meaning only way you will be caught is to be seen in person.. or heard (if someone hears you your blip will show up even while you are hidden) so stealth might be important then

being quiet using silenced weapons and lesters stealth option.

It works against cops. You can still hide in bushes and such. As for players, no. I don't think you can hide your blip... unless you call Lester.
