SO are you guys still having issues(PS3)

First off let me start by saying... I love granny p0rN.

 

Second: Now I got that dirty secret out of the sack......(wink wink) I don't expect it to be totally perfect, but I was wondering is people were still having issues... I still get "fail to host/join". I see that many threads with pix of their toon. I don't know if its my sh*tty internet in the barracks or what... I can connect to games via steam and other ps3 games online, but still have issues with this one...

 

Anyone mind adding me on psn so I can perhaps try to join their game this way?? Any other ideas?? Im not gunna trash ur game or grief.. I just wanna see if there is other ways I can try to join. All my crew members haven't tried since Oct.1

If you haven't gotten past the first race, nothing's going to help, my friend. If by chance, you are able to join without the host/join problem, the tutorial is probably going to get you stuck and even more frustrated.

 

But, I've heard that disabling the UPnP should help with the host/join issues.

I'm at rank 9 with my main character. I made him like yesterday morning. Everything is working fine except that I can't get my second character past the dreaded Lamar the gate keeper race mission.

Ummm it was working fine...now it's not. I can't join games anymore and all my options under joining jobs disappeared.

No luck here either. Managed to do the race & first bit of shooting but can't get back in

Stuck on 'waiting for other players' for the race.

Ah well maybe it'll work later on today after this 'patch'

Everything works for me.....except pressing start and going to join friends or crew. It works 0% of the time occasionally it'll put me in the session but no crew/friends are in it. ALso only about 30% of the invites I get actually work.

About 24hrs ago everything worked perfectly. Me and a couple of friends were on way into the night and made some decent money and did a lot of missions and TDM's and everything else.

 

Did some more earlier in the afternoon and it got stuck in a loading screen for a while. All of us could still talk on the mic so decided to quit game and come back and re-invite (ps3). When we quit and reloaded the game all our characters were gone. Level 8+ and $30-40k+ on each of us just all disappeared. Tried about 4 hrs later again and it was still gone.

 

People here on this forum said that your characters never get deleted, just misplaced. So I'm not even going to bother tonight. Just wait for the update tomorrow and hopefully everything is back and we don't have to start all over.

I finally managed to get the race done about a half an hour ago, took me about 50 tries but i finally got it. Hopefully this time my guy wont get reset like the other day.

 

Just keep trying and it will eventually let you do the race.

 

But they seem to be making some good progress on getting things fixed, all day today i was able to actually connect nearly every time without issue and characters seem to stick. (knock on wood) Only thing they really need to fix now is the first race.

worked semi ok yesterday, connected after 10 tries, got to rank 9, today my character is gone, created a new one and cant get past the first race, even on solo mode, stuck at loading screen for hours, it never loads, tried it 60 times, no joke, lol!

Ya I get to the part where I get the car for the race part then says failed to join session... been a brick wall since day 1 for me...

i got past it the first time by choosing solo session when starting gta online since it never connects to other players, I can hear the f*cktards talking on the loading screen but it never loads, but solo session didnt work for me today, it wouldnt connect at all

I hope you didn't put your new character on the same slot as your old character. Cause apparently your characters are never deleted, just misplaced in this crazy cloud server situation and will be returned to you once they figure it out...

thought of that, but i did anyway. dont care much, didnt have any money and picked a crap car to start with and tracker so I wouldnt mind starting over anyway, was only level 9, guess i get to do the same boring missions over and over and over again now if I can ever connect even, haha!
