I feel more sorry for a griefer who is banned from playing online with his friends (isn't that the main point of online gaming) than someone who has just been killed for no reason, god forbid they have to pay $1000 of their fake money.

 

Some people are clearly way too devoted on getting to the highest level, making more money than anybody else, buying all there is to buy as quick as humanly possible, and clearly not for fun but because it might impress somebody (lol). So many of these same people who 'just want to play the game the way it is supposed to be played' have played that 9k mission literally 10s or even 100s of times. Maybe it's just me but that is far more pathetic than simply killing an unprovoked player in GTA.

 

And before all the generic responses come in, I am yet to receive a bad sports warning and I am not a griefer myself. I don't mind randomers kill me even if it is annoying because it is clearly part of the game, sometimes I just ignore them and go on my way and sometimes I'll try to get revenge.

On the other hand, not sure how I feel about them telling people how to play the game. I was all for them putting bad sports in servers with other bad sports, or giving them a title. But that as a hat? Maybe the person who came up with the idea should put on that hat for trying to tell people to play like Barney in a game that was always prone on violence and rude behavior.

R* is trying to get us to work together as criminals and make some bread along the way.. If you want to kill and act like this is the wild west then you have a room (and a hat) where other people will gladly waste $ on medical bills and ammo with you, or you can do the MANY different pvp game types, your choice.. When I do a job on the street and a guy helps I split the $ with him and send a thank you text message inviting them to my apartment for some shots and a smoke. We both win. That isn't true though. You people are arguing using points of extremes. I have killed people in free roam. I have no dunce hat and haven't been awarded and bad sport points. Only ever got bad sport messages from getting kicked when I was doing nothing or losing connection during a match. Which sucks but hasn't happened too often for me luckily. I have just drove around and chilled with people too. So as long as you don't dedicate yourself to being a dick online full time then no one should have to worry.

I'm all for punishing griefers but they really need to tweak this thing BADLY. I just got a warning because some jackass booted me from free roam right after I did an arm wrestling match, after I rejoined free roam it said I left the session before finishing a job. That's really gonna be complete bullsh*t if I get locked into bad sport matches and can't play with people because of sh*t like that.

 

 

 

I'd definitely fire a quick email to [email protected] to make sure they know about that one. What you encountered sounds like a form of griefing to me. Lure somone into a job, kick them, they get bad guy rep. I'm sure they'll add it to the growing list of 'Bad guy' tweaks they know need to be made.

Alright, this is actually really f*cking dumb. I can't do ANYTHING with friends (missions included) until Sunday morning.

 

 

Atleast you have sticky bombs i'm still rank 7 cant do a damn thing without my system crashing or getting kicked, and R* rolls out a patch for the PS3 keeping 360 players waiting, meanwhile other people are already rank 30, and tons of cash and all I can do is watch. The car mechanics online feel a lot more like GTA4 which I love. Maybe they made them too hard for you? People who are good at the game have lots of money and things to show for it. They have high stats. I have played douche bag griefers in one on one DM challenges and wiped the floor with them. And when some one attacks me out of the blue I take them out. The car mechanics online feel a lot more like GTA4 which I love. Maybe they made them too hard for you? People who are good at the game have lots of money and things to show for it. They have high stats. I have played douche bag griefers in one on one DM challenges and wiped the floor with them. And when some one attacks me out of the blue I take them out. Funny,, you seem more like one of the retards who would absolutely love cod and how easy it is. Both it and GTAV have one very basic thing in common - they are both dumbed down for retards. Let's just hope you don't start ruining things like Halo.

How is GTA V dumbed down? The driving in SP, sure. But the MP like I said is much more like 4. If you use auto aim then yeah that is dumbed down but it is an option you can choose and you are placed in free aim or auto aim lobbies based on that. So what is dumbed down? I think your just garbage at the game and butt hurt about it.

I don't understand Rockstars logic. They put items such as the Sticky bombs, grenades and RPGs in the game yet punish players for blowing other players cars up?, it's not like it costs much to get it back from the insurance company ($500 when I used it).

 

This REALLY needs to be reevaluated as I got warned yesterday for being a badsport when I'd done nothing wrong. A guy apparently voted to kick me for nothing yet I'm a bad sport with literally no evidence.

 

The people who are loving this are going to find that the VAST majority of players will not stand for stupid stuff like this. I mean we're playing GTA and not hold hands and bum each other game.

I got that same warning for blowing up a fellas car, at first i got rewarded for doing it in a jet than thought ok, i can gain something from this... Than i got the waring and backed off.

My favourite spot was the petrol station close to the beach, i'd set c4 close to the pumps than wait for my victim. Muhahah don't regret it.

Are you really trying to show off and look down on that guy because you have your own apartment... IN A GAME??? Whoa, Big screen tv too? You obviously have a tv in real life if you're playing GTA, yet you play a game to do things you can actually do in real life like sit in an apartment and watch tv? I am honestly astounded that adults (I'm assuming, sorry if I'm wrong) do this, it really is incredible. Sometimes, you just don't wanna deal with that, regardless of being in free roam or not.

How can you have fun with new people if you're getting your sh*t blown up every 5 seconds because someone sees grief as the ultimate past time? Well sorry, others don't. I don't mind being targeted but some people just don't get when ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, and for those people I am glad they have a consequence for these idiots. It needs tweaking, though.

 

If I shoot at someone to start up something, and they blow my car up.. they shouldn't be punished if they do it a couple times to teach me a lesson. That's lame.. But there is a limit and this system should work along the lines of that.

What? For playing FREE Roam how I wanted to have a few laughs with my friends? Let's not get jumpy here. It's funny and worth laughing at, but it's still annoying that I can't play with my friends anymore.

 

Yeah, but playing 'your way' was just ruining the fun of others.

 

My friend got killed randomly by a f*ckwit, so we all got together and hunted him down. Two cars, me on foot, and another friend in a jet. I think we killed these two guys at least twenty times each. That's being conservative.

 

No dunce hat on any of us. Because we weren't trying to be deliberate pricks to other players by blowing up their cars.

 

Soooo ... blowing up someone's car is being a prick, but ganging up with four guys against two and killing them repeatedly is NOT? Gotta love that logic. lol

That's because in free roam, you are not meant to kill other players. You are supposed to do jobs and heists. This is your own fault.
