Couldn't you play an invite only session with your other passive friends, though?

 

I hope people who love this idea can at least understand that since GTA 1 the game has been about causing as much trouble as you can and then getting away from the cops or die trying.

 

Making punishments for blowing up somebodys car is asinine when placed in the world of GTA. I would honestly prefer they just gave you a dick emblem on your head or a tit. However punishing them by not letting them play with their friends is crazy.

I'm in disagreement with it because it's not fair. There's just no way the punishment fits the crime in a video game based on crime..

 

A monetary FINE of the % of the player they killeds bank balance COULD be a good idea.

 

Another idea would be putting them in Prison for a few hours (on the cloud so they cannot just switch server)

 

And yes they should be able to be broken out by their friends.

 

Taking their friends away is NOT fair and surely you can see it.

No because it limits the people who we play with I haven't even played online, but I have seen lots of videos on it I can't even play online because of the glitched out f*cking tutorial on loading session. No, you're right. It's a completely valid and legitimate suggestion and that's what I've been doing as of late. It's just not truly fun when you can't kill your friends or be killed in Free Roam, since you lose money every time you're killed.

 

Conversely, the Bad Sport punishment is fair in my opinion. It's not fair to someone who spent exorbitant amounts of money customising a vehicle only to have someone destroy it the moment they leave LS Customs. The Bad Sport punishment is Rockstar's way of telling them to calm down, because their behaviour is not making the online experience fun for other people. Treat others as you'd wish to be treated, as it were.

 

But I do understand where you and others are coming from, don't get me wrong. Rockstar really should implement a new system in GTA Online that allows players to recover their customised vehicle for free, hassle-free if someone else destroys it and give more leniency to the Bad Sport punishment. Punish someone for being a consistent asshole, not for small things here and there. It takes the fun out of it a bit.

You can bank your money on your phone pretty swiftly. You also only lose $100 after doing a missions/activity.

Killing more then repetitively is not tolerated and should be punishable for spawn killing giving the enemy a disadvantage. They should be able to do whatever they want and kill whoever they like with whatever fun they have killing people. People like killing people in online because it is a sense of actual people not default npc's doing basic stuff. It gives more fun hunting for people and sneakily killing them when they least expect it.

Not too sure how I feel about this.

 

One hand, I like how R* is kinda limiting how griefiers etc can be controlled.

 

On the other hand, not sure how I feel about them telling people how to play the game. I was all for them putting bad sports in servers with other bad sports, or giving them a title. But that as a hat? Maybe the person who came up with the idea should put on that hat for trying to tell people to play like Barney in a game that was always prone on violence and rude behavior.

 

Like I said, I like the thought, but the exceution seems a bit f*cked if that's truly what happens.

You're the one asking people to play the game in an extremely specific way, so it should be on you to exclude yourself from the majority of players who don't give a sh*t about not hurting other peoples' feelings over a god damn game. Would you prefer to play a game where everyone has infinite health? How fun would that be? Truth is being able to do whatever I wish in a sandbox with no restrictions is far more fun than being told what I can and can not do. May as well be something small and linear and sh*tty like CoD. You need to grow up and learn that your opinion should not control the way the game is played for everyone.

I wasn't asking anyone to play the game in a specific way; I was asking people to refrain from killing my character or destroying my stuff while I'm off minding my own business. There's nothing wrong with that and unless you can begin to comprehend it, people like you should not be allowed within the online community. It's called respect. If I ran around picking off random people and they sent me a message saying, "Hey, would you mind not bothering me unless I do it to you? I'm just trying to explore." I'm going to respect their wish and refrain from doing it because that's what mature, respectful adults do. If you ignore their wish and continue doing it, you're a prime example of what's wrong with the world today.

 

If you want to run around killing everyone, be my guest. I just hope you have enough consideration to stop if someone asks you to and find someone else to bother instead, one who wouldn't care or mind.

Pretty sure you can still play the game however you want.

But if you're going to be a huge asshole, you're gonna be put in a room with other assholes. And everyone will know that you're an asshole. Nothing wrong with that.

Think of it as in house suspension. I remember getting those in high school. Was put in a room with all the others that got suspended and everyone at school knew we did something stupid to deserve it.

Pretty realistic option if you ask me.
