Bad Sport, Player Kicks, and other known bugs...

I actually have been able to play a little bit, but it's still pretty broken. This is not a complaint thread, simply a thread to make note of some of the stuff that really needs changed/addressed, or is game breaking, ect.

 

The Bad Sport system is a good idea, but right now very poorly implemented. Getting Bad Sport for defending yourself if another player attacks you is a bad idea. I understand if you are one of the turd burglers who just goes around griefing and killing, (this is GTA and does have it's place however!) but if you are doing nothing and someone opens up on you, runs you over repeatedly, ect, and you fight back, if you do too much damage, desstroying their car, you get bad player. This really needs to be changed. If you are defending yourself then there should be no penalty.

 

The problems with players indiscriminately kicking you off the server needs to be fixed. I heard this might be a bug however. I understand getting bad player if you quit missions in the middle and leave people hanging and such, but I have been standing around just watching things, or looking at my phone or something, and suddenly you get the message you have been kicked by players. After this happens so many times, you get the Bad Sport warnings. This system needs to be in place, but needs to be fixed. Maybe add a timer where you can only kick so many people per session, or so many per hour or something. These things cause a huge money loss and things are expensive enough as it is.

 

I would also like to see a faster or easier method of depositing your money. (maybe an instant button on the phone that deposits all your cash?)

 

Also there is a recurring bug where missions end as soon as you start them without you being able to do anything at all.

 

Also seems to be a bug or an unintended feature where you have to pay for hospital bills for dying while in Deathmatch games?

 

If you accept a PSN GTA V Online session request with a personal car in Los Santos Customs all cars will disappear from your garage.

 

There are a few other things, (as well as the known server problems) so if you have any known bugs or problems, reply and maybe we can get an updated list stickied so R* and the community can stay on top of these things?

 

*NEW - Seems that lots of people, including myself, are experiencing their characters getting deleted and losing everything. Looking dire R*

Do you get bad sport for destroying a players car while they're sitting inside it?

In that scenario it should certainly be fair game.

I'm not sure on that, but I do know that if you are attacked, and you manage to kill the attacker, and destroy their car in the process, you can get hit with the Bad Sport.

I noticed that the online has problems saving. Money I had would randomly disappear, also my stats would randomly revert to an older state. For example I was an ace pilot, then a couple hours later im a commercial pilot. Thats 4 hours of my time wasted. I'm curious if anybody else is experiencing that problem because none of my friends have that problem, it's just me.

I had a bounty put on my head by three different people today. Mind you in GTA IV I would clear an entire room by myself by slaying everyone just because I felt like it....I decided I wouldn't do that in V. Today though I got bounties for no reason at all and got the bad sport tag while defending myself against an entire room (I think it was because I didn't join any death matches and am playing Lonewolf style)...I only died once, but it's unfair that I was simply defending myself against unwarranted bounties. Also I don't think you should be able to place a bounty on a person if they haven't attacked you or anyone else....there are some quirks to the game for sure, the only thing we can do is hammer [email protected] and hope they make adjustments.

I know that it says if you don't play for extended periods of time your skills will slowly degrade, but this sounds like a glitch for sure.

Yes, as I said I think any penalties if you are defending yourself is just bad period. (except hospital if you die of course, which I think should be lowered a bit.) Maybe gets more expensive the higher your level, with a price cap?

Add to the fact that most people are all by themselves. I played with my crew and other players once last night. Been all alone since.

No I for one have zero player kills. I have never attacked anyone yet. It seems to happen when I get the message "the other players voted to kick you" or whatever and you get booted from the session. On logging back in, you get Bad Player. It has happened 3-4x in a row, on different servers, with different people. Hard to believe random strangers I never so much as spoke to or had any interaction with would all just vote to kick me, multiple times. It has to be a glitch.

You will get warning messages in upper left corner of screen telling you.

Oh its not just you. I like training Stamina and each time my character is back where it started Same with my car and insurance phone number...
