good new to hear, ill try it a bit later today and report back. if it works ill post it on my video and give you credit as well. hope it does work so i can have a bit of fun finally while waiting for the taxi mission to pop up and doing replays. havent played the game in 2 months

dude it worked for me! i cant believe it. first i tried just getting a haircut and that didnt work, so then i got haircut and tattoos, and then robbed a armor truck and forgot to get clothes. went back to single player and my los santos icons are back. thanks dude ill leave a update on my youtube channel and tell people and mention your name

It seems as though the fix is to do more than 1 thing while in GTA:O...I would suggest anyone having this issue to do all 4 (Barber, tattoo, car shop & clothes)...spend some time browsing all the options, previewing each.....change something from each shop at least once before returning to singleplayer. In my case it was the barber/clothes combo which did the trick, but it could be any combination of the shops causing your issue.

 

One of these things will fix it for you...it's just a matter of trial and error to find out which one it is.

 

At least this fixed this for one other person, so it wasn't just me getting lucky

Bugger mate....I seriously thought this would be the fix for everyone :( I think maybe we are just the lucky ones then.....I suggest not to give up and keep messing with those shops in gta:o though, you may get lucky like us and 'trigger' whatever it is which needs to be triggered in your game.

It doesn't work for me.
When I returned to story mode, I was in an empty barber shop, with no interaction possible. I went out but couldn't see the icon on the map.

For those for whom it worked, can you tell if some gold stars remains while browsing categories/items in shops online ?
I went to every shops online, and for some categories a gold star remains, as if some new items had yet to be browsed, but when I enter the category, there is no new item.

For example : the "main paint" category for my car has a star, but I have fully browsed the category, so no new items. I checked in every LSC and even Beeker's Garage, but the star remains. Maybe it causes a corruption when saving while going from online to offline mode.
The same happens for my t-shirts (I visited every cloth shop, and even the one in Vespucci where you can buy masks).

For people for whom the workaround doesn't work, do you have the same issue ?

It didn't work. I visited every glitched story in Online mode and changed as much as possible in each store but It didn't work.

 

Actually melodicmizery tried the same method that worked with him on my savefile and it didn't fix my Story Mode.

 

 

For those for whom it worked, can you tell if some gold stars remains while browsing categories/items in shops online ?

For people for whom the workaround doesn't work, do you have the same issue ?

 

As I said above, I visited every store and changed all items possible everytime. Lost 200k in progress ): *doesnt matter* and sadly it didn't work for me.

And yes I've the same issue, stars but no new items.

We believe we have identified the problem. Please try again after the next Title Update and let us know if there are still any issues. We apologize again about the long wait on this one.

If they really did fix the issue, it should work after update 1.10.

They could not give me release date, but hopefully it will be available before the end of the month considering that the update 1.09 was released last week and it usually takes 2-3 weeks between each iteration.

I'm subscribed to a few Rockstar Social Club support threads, and you're fix is actually helping quite a few people (I get a notification when someone posts on them, and quite a few are quoting this thread saying the fix has helped them).

 

Regarding patch 1.10, fingers crossed...

The fix didn't work for me either I was really hoping that it did. I will try again just to see. Hopefully this update will do it for everyone.

It works with latest update.

 

It works!! but when I launched the game to story mode it was still bugged so I went Online and bought all the new clothes. Suits, Vest Suits, Smart Shoes and Hats- returned to Story mode and it was fixed (:

I see this was *finally* addressed in the latest patch (1.10). Great news !

Yes, thankfully the issue has been solved. Lord knows they took their damn time. Thanks for all your helpful hints and suggestions folks.

ugh.. I just got the PC version. My job is to steal a car and take it to los santos customs. they are all closed. so is ammu-nation. wtf what a waste of money on this game.
