To all people complaining about online

Do you really think they can test there servers for over 1 million people? No they can't because they don't have 1 million testers.

Btw if you didnt know almost every game does this its not just Rockstar. So if you just don't complain about maybe it will be fixed faster. Why will this help it get fixed faster? Because they don't need to read all the complaining.

Hopefully they have it sorted for you guys soon, in my timezone (US nap time) it was running A++ which was a massive difference. One more whack of that and you guys will be smooth sailing I think - maybe another day or try playing after midnight?

I can't recall another game that I've played where the entire online portion of the game is broken with at least 10,000 bugs in the tutorial.

Haha.Not that I'm one of the people complaining but....they won't be faster if they will stop complaining 'cause they will have less to read or dou you think there are sitting 2 guys and one of them is reading out loud while the other one is screwing around in the codelines?

Tutorial doesn't have bugs.

What the problem is is server load. It's also only been like two days since it was released, and when the servers aren't overloaded it works perfectly (e.g. 14 hours ago it was as smooth as silk, while the US was asleep).

 

Another day of upgrades and you guys should be sweet.

 

You want bad releases, try SimCity, first week was almost impossible after launch, and six months later they were still doing major bug fixes (and still are now actually). Server overloading is pretty mild in the problem department for an operation of this scale.

You will get your character back if you dont make a new one in that slot. If you noticed you will still have your username and cash on the top right. You have to wait for the cloud to come back up.

yea i know they cant test it for 1 mill players, but there was no beta whatsoever, except an internal one im guessing. but then again the people in charge of online part probably shat themselves when they sold so many copies the first days hehe. no sleep for them

@6YardsOut: Halo Reach, Halo 4, Battlefield 3, CoD MW3, Black Ops 1 & 2... pretty much any game, no matter how much the company "prepares" is going to have glitches and problems. Halo 4 has been out for a long time but people still exploit glitches to get inside the map. BF3 crashed numerous times in the first month or so and each DLC for it caused a new set of issues. I can't think of a single game that has actually worked correctly in the first few days or weeks. Fallout New Vegas is unbeatable by most players because once the save file reaches a certain size the game becomes so glitched and laggy it won't allow further play. Take time to research just how many games STILL have problems even YEARS after they've been out. Go to YouTube and search game glitches for even just a few minutes. Millions of people having thousands of problems. Pretty sure we get over it and complain & cry about the next game that comes along. Go play the BF4 beta and see how bad that is, despite how many people have already played at conventions.

This is not entirely true. I have tried at all hours to get past the tutorial to no avail. I set my alarm for increments of 2 hours and tried at 1am, 3am, 5am, 6am and then again at noon today. Regardless of the hour, I cannot get in. I'm not saying server load isn't the problem, but trying it at odd hours doesn't fix it.
