Death Fees Are Too High

The death fees in the online are far too high at the moment imo. You lose 2k everytime you die and 2k in the Online can be a lot for players who don't buy in-game cash with real money. Also you lose 2k everytime you die in a mission, I mean that's the most retarded thing ever. Also it dosen't help when you have people trying to kill you every 2 seconds in a damn game. I feel that the death bills should be $200-$500.

I was surprised, I lost a ton on a tough mission. It's a good incentive not to die, but with perfectly accurate enemies it's hard.

It helps to get into Free-Aim sessions. Less people trying to just kill everyone because it's so easy in auto-aim.

Just set your aim mode to free aim prior to going online.

The point is to make dying less of an option.

You're more likely to think strategically to avoid it than just let it happen. It was higher than I expected, but I can kind of see the reasoning.

The whole GTAOnline experience is a lot harder than SP, but I don't think that's a bad thing, I think with some time under your belt you'll appreciate it.

That still dosen't really solve it. When you're in a mission you seem to get killed because the enimes have amazing aim and if you die in a mission or just randomly in free-mode, then it can all add up and you can eventually lose a lot of cash. Yes it makes it harder and you play smarter so you don't die but it still is too high. Also me and my mates were just killing each other randomly in free-roam and this was before we noticed you lose 2k everytime you die. We all ended up losing over 10k each.

This is the only thing that is wrong with the Online imo. You just have your head stuck up Rockstar's ass all day and think that everything they do is alright. And I just rememberd that you lose cash when you die in TDM. WTF is up with that R*?

I think its a percentage, because if you don't have a certain amount of money it only takes $200

Also I think it takes it if on missions but I am not sure.. will do more testing today.

In SP pretty much all my deaths were suicides with grenades because that was a great way to make you spawn where a taxi could pick you up.

As I said, no it doesn't. You lose it for missions too.

I've noticed a lot of people complaining about the amazing aim of enemies. I've noticed that they have pretty good aim, but whenever they do kill me, I totally deserved it. Their aim seems fine, I'm actually surprised sometimes when I don't die.

It was alright in SP because you had like 20mil on each character so you could just throw away your cash. However on the Online, you're trying to save every dollar.

I know the majority probably doesn't agree with this, cause the last few weeks I found out that the GTA-community mostly exists out a bunch of pussies who cry when they get killed in a GTA-game and who applaud the passive mode. People who kill are looked upon as "trolls"..

I think 2000k is just fine and I wouldn't even mind if they made it even higher. Why just try not to die, have a challenge and feel like you're actually being rewarded instead of just getting everything for nothing. It makes things a lot more interesting imo.

I made the mistake of getting on a motorcycle with my friend who then decided to jump off a bridge with it killing us both. . . . peace out moneys.... thanks FRIEND!... ya its too expensive and you can honestly die in dumb ways. I have also tried passive mode and a cop was chasing another player when the player sped by and the cop car jumped on the side walk ramming me and others over... ya lost money there too....

I don't think there should be any fee for dying. It's a freaking video game! I mean I like the realistic aspect in some areas... but if me and my friends just want to go have a shoot out and mess around, we have to worry about losing 20,000 dollars or so. Completely stupid and pointless.

Just set your aim mode to free aim prior to going online.

and that probably comes with 80% less server population seeing asthough most of the players in this game use auto aim.

I hadn't thought about that until now, but that is true. But that is the only downside I see of the death medical bill. Some friends should be able to kill eachother or themselves without going broke.

Makes me wonder about something. Let's assume we have two characters. Character 1 has thousand dollars, Character 2 has nothing, the bank account is empty.
First you bank the thousand the first character has, then we take the cash with the second character. So Character 1 has nothing, Character 2 a thousand and the bank is empty again.
So, if I play Character 1 and die... will I lose cash? Would be illogical - it's on my second character. Hope someone understood that complicated explaination.

I just hope it will work - the current situation highly discourages me from taking risks and having really dangerous fun, and that was the thing I liked the most in GTAIV's online mode.

Does anybody think that would make it easier to get online for those having troubles? try free aim?

You think both characters bank accounts are linked? I thought you were going to say have one broke character for free roam killing and dying, and one more serious and hopefully wealthy.

Gotta laugh at the people saying it fine.. 2000 dollar lost per death IN A f*ckING DEATHMATCH is fine? When R* puts the players in a position where they are losing progress at the same pace they are gaining it then R* has made a severe error in theyr balancing.

Im "ok" with having the penalty in Free roam, but it has NO f*cking business being in any of the game modes.

(havnt even lost that much myself, but know people who have lost upward of 200k total.)

Yeah well it didn't really bother me until last night. I went into a 4 player battle for fun last night. I had about $25,000. I now have $8,000. I was kind of pissed. Once we are all millionaires, it might not bother me so much. But when first starting out, money is important!

I mean stuff like that is why I bought this game. Just to mess around with friends in gun battles, throwing ourselves off cliffs, playing chicken with cars. etc.
