The houses all look pretty much the same.. what's the incentive to buy a $400k house when the $135k house looks and feels the same?

Well.. it's a house. I mean, all houses are the same when you really look at it.

 

Bed, TV, couch, garage, kitchen, carpeting, tables.. But they are not exactly the same, at all. The locations, placements, and general models for everything change, some change dramatically.

 

Not sure if you were expecting some Sims or Second Life type stuff, not even sure why this is such a popular complaint honestly, when the fun of the game is being outside. Improvements can be made, (sure, I'll take stripper poles in my living room for an extra 20K) but it's nothing to complain about now.

Another thing that you could be paying for is the built-in garage or garages. Like for instance the most expensive apartment is what 400k, but you get a 10 car garage (Just a 10 car garage is anywhere from 100-200k).
