So I've been playing hardcore lately, got to rank 21.. and earned a lot of money along the way & Decided to buy a very expensive house (250K) Brought it... amazing! loved it, then i decided to spend the rest of my money on tuning cars and such, I brought 6 from the websites & 2 i stole, I upgraded them all & displayed all this in my 10 car garage.. right now i feel like a boss, So I wanted to show my friend all this, I join his game.. anddddd Bam. no house. No cars. and the all the money i spent on all this.. gone!... and losing 2 of my weapons.. tried turning xbox off & back on and logging in again.. but still got nothing... Rockstar.. come on :(

 

*sigh* Oh well.

 

I'd suggest not spending any of your money until they fix all this...

 

currently sitting at 10k gold and with only one of my cars remaining :( sux yo

If you take a look around in this forum, you will find out that the cloud servers are facing issues/getting setup. Just wait till it goes online again.

most of the PS3 GTA Online stuff is down. I'd wait before making new characters and stuff if i were you.

Just make sure you don't create another character in the same slot. just wait it out... Hopefully you get everything back.

no, you dont understand.. my character is still there, with almost everything.. Same level.. same skills yada yada yada, but no money.. no house.. and no cars.

But i do notice a 1-2k disappearing from time to time like when i log in and out nobody kills me because i jus do my own thing

Don't freak. They're setting up more cloud servers. Some of the data hasn't been synced between them yet.

I guess the lesson to be learned from this is to not buy anything with your money till it is all straitened out. I am currently rank 24 with about aprox 400k in bank, haven't spend a dime (except for ammo and the occasional medical bills).

I haven't even been able to start the f*cking tutorial yet and you're crying and bitching about losing cars and money.

How I have been getting my money quick and easy was keep replaying this mission that give 9k each time. It was pretty easy to solo it. Lately I have been doing it with another person and we've been finishing it within a minute each time.

I don't know is this could be usefull, but today I got a tip that said you have to leave GTA Online or complete a job to save. So if you f*ck around and free roam and turn your console if, it doesn't save.

You can replay missions? I haven't tried that online, thats awesome. I'll give it a go when the Playstation one is working!

I may have a remedy also if you manage to get stuck in that cloud waiting screen. DO NOT turn off your console since if you do your character will be erased. What you can do, well it worked for me was to unplug your ethernet cable.

 

Once you unplugged it, well I am on xbox so it said disconnected from xbox live then it closed the online session and sent me back to storyline. I then replugged my ethernet cable and relogged into xbox live. I could then rejoin GTAOnline with my whole character and to my knowledge I did not loose any of my progress.

 

Disclaimer: This was on xbox 360 I do not know how it will work with ps3.
